too bad the contrast are a little too high, else you'd see how the left mouse button is completely bald too revealing its cheap plastic self

is this with the extra cover? if yeah then im quite surprised myself as the g9x is fairly big/bulky heh. then again upon trying it out at LYP, it didnt feel that way, sorta just right ^^

Yes, don't really like the extra cover.

I like the smooth one. Waiting for Logitech to release the bigger cover like the Alienware Tact something mouse.

Fine, to make a fair statement I do not wash my hands all the time when using my gear. I'd wash them before I use after meal or if its dirty but after sitting infront of the monitor for long hours without aircon my hands will sweat and becomes oily, thus my scurb will stick to the mouse too. I do clean it off and on but still, you cant avoid wear and tear.

Comparing my G5 and the copper head Id say the G5 have better plastic and copper head does use rubber which does not last as long compared to the G5.
*
well that's what i am trying to say when the trolls take things to the extreme...
rubber dun work well with oil especially with our humid weather...

i'm taking care of my imperator like u...
make sure its clean (usually my hand is clean thus i dun even wash my hand before using lol) and wipe it after long duration on my mouse...
u cant avoid wear/tear but u can reduce its impact...

I clean my mouse quite often be it Logitech MX518 at work or Logitech G9x at home.

Just amazed how Logitech MX518 can last for so many many years, probably more than 5 years now.

id actually wish my DA uses actual rubber. and not a plastic film with rubber "residue" or foam of some sort underneath it.

lol broken quote tags

and that probably explains the mouse being small. without the extra cover the mouse seems to be notebook mouse sized, which, yeah, not quite the kinda mouse i wanna use long term since my hands are fairly huge.

Cutting features from the game
If you were a game developer, perhaps you'd make different choices in our shoes. It's a subjective business and if you were super passionate about guild talents, perhaps you could have come up with a model that solved all of our concerns. Sometimes those concerns are visible early and sometimes you really have to get into the meat of the implementation before you realize the problems. We think the Blizzard development model has worked pretty well for over 15 years. Part of that model is being willing to cut something (features, or even titles) that isn't working out, no matter how much effort we've put into them. Keeping a feature that didn't work but that was clearly the pet feature of some developer has marred several potentially good games.

/lesigh razshit lol

well, i do have a goliathus for traveling (my notebook, yeah)
id personally prefer exactmat though (arm rest and hard surface means less inconsistencies from scrolling), though considering its current deteriorated state, goliathus would be the choice if you ask me now.

there is a new exactmat successor, thats like rm300 rofl. im actually considering it, though i am not sure if i should switch to steel series or other brand of mouse pads just so i dont get disappointed by razshit again.

id wish there are other good makers (hello logitech? lol) that make good 'gaming grade' (lolhype) mouse pads so i can turn away from razer completely. atm the only thing id buy from razer is their mouse pads and thats cuz other makers arent really up to par (yes i know theres steel series, however their price and end product just isnt up to my preference)

We might have a chance to see cross regional play in the first few months of the release.

QUOTE
Getting people online, playing and interacting is obviously the overall goal for the Battle.net platform, and that includes allowing people to play across regional boundaries as they have in the past.

Unfortunately, there are a multitude of challenges we have to overcome due to the unique regional account and billing options that didn't exist in the past. But those hurdles aren't insurmountable, and we are looking into solutions that will allow interested players to obtain access to other regional versions without having to buy another full copy of the game. Those solutions are something we're currently planning to have available through Battle.net Account Management within the first few months of StarCraft II's release.

Before that solution is implemented though, you're correct in that you'd need to purchase a US copy of the game on launch day to play in the US region.

More updates.

Chat channels, identifiers are coming back.

QUOTE
There will definitely be "chat channels" coming in one of the patches after the release. The system will be based around groups, where you will be able to join public channels that are based around your interests, which can be virtually anything. Also the system will include private chat channels (in plans for release in the first few months after the release), where you will be able to meet with your friends.

As for identifiers they are returning for the second phase of the beta. The previous system did not work as intended to some degree and based on feedback received the developers decided to implement a variation of this, which is going to attach character codes. These will be three digit numbers added to your nickname and they will be seen in the UI screens. Thanks to this you will be able to add friends manually, just like previously with identifiers. On top of that you can still add friends using all other methods (using the score screen or RealID).

I'll pause with that.

This is good. One right step for SC2 to replace SC1.

Thumbs up to the improvements!

Now lets wait for them to fix the biggest problem, region lock, SEA pricing, more avatars. (Yes I'll keep dreaming)

I don't find much difference since I've been playing SC1 almost on daily basis. In fact, I find it easier to dodge Psi-Storms in SC1. Maybe it's due to the fact that units don't clump up together as much as SC2.

high templars in sc1 are kinda "slower" in getting out psi storms, maybe cuz of their patching as well? that said, the clumping of sc2 is due to much better pathing (which is good, btw) as more units are able to arrive at a destination much effeciently and timely, as opposed to sc1, having an lol train when you're massing up army
