He is doing well with Innova for puppy. But i am thinking to give him something even better. I wan kibbles that are grain free but doesnt burn a hole in the pocket.
TOTW Wetland or High Pairies Fomula. 13.5kg cost about Rm215 while Innova for puppy cost about RM200. Innova for adult is much cheaper though as it cost about Rm180. You can get TOTW at Petlover.

Anyway, i have finalise yet as i am unsure which kibbles give my puppy allergic with red dot. I stop all other sample and put him only on innova and seems that the red dot slowly gone. I have loads of samples as treat and mix up all for Natural Balance, Arden Grange, Evo, TOTW, Canine Caviar blah blah..  doh.gif
Now seperate all out dy. Hope the allergic is not from TOTW.  wink.gif

Thanks for the info. Looks like TOTW is a bit cheaper than Orijen. I'm currently getting Orijen Large Breed Puppy for RM240 (13.5kg).

Innova for Adult Dog I'm getting for RM176 (30 lbs) and the shop also has Buy 10 Free 1 program.

I'm also feeding my rottie the Orijen LBP. Best price so far I found is RM240 (big bag) from Pets Playground. I found them from Low Yat, they don't have a shop and they COD around SS2 area.

Stool is ok.

If your rottie still young then maybe 8 spoons is ok. But I go by weight. What is the feeding recommendation for your rottie at his age?

Food package normally will show more. From there is jes a guideline then u need to reduce or add according to situation.
Curious, what type of spoon you refering? I think cup will be better. US standard cup (8 oz)or use weight to be more accurate.

Your rottie 8+ weeks and weigh only 3+ kg? Hmm... sounds low.

According to this site at 8 weeks your rottie should be 6-7 kg.

Here's another chart:

The weight per cup would depend on the kibble. I measured Innova Adult Dog using the normal drinking mug and 1 mug = 135g. For Orijen 1 mug = 115-120g.

I looked at the Orijen suggestion and it is 270-280 gram per day for 8 weeks.

Another way is to use this calculator: http://mycockerspaniel.com/mer.htm Find out how many calories it recommends then divide by your dog foods calories to see how many grams is needed.

Do you mean Natural Balance Alpha Dog Trout, Salmon Meal & Whitefish Grain-Free? Let see the main ingredient.

Trout, Potatoes, Garbanzo Beans, Peas, Salmon Meal, Chicken Meal.

First five ingredient looks good to me. Second ingredient is potatoes which is a good source of digestible carbohydrates . Third is bean and later peas which is also a quality source of carbohydrates. I would prefer if the ingredient is in this order. Trout, Salmon Meal, Potatoes etc etc.

Overall it's quite a good kibbles without by product and useless filler but with moderate amount of meat. I would rate it as 4 star kibbles

Thanks for your info.
I did not notice about the 3 types of fishes included when I decided to give it a try.
I like the smells of it, and the stool looks good.

Want to ask what is your average per gram to feed your furkid?

Mine is about 6 months now weighing less than 5kg though he's like 10-11inches tall now.

I'm feeding him Orijen 6 Fishes an approx 75g per day split between morning / night.

Though I felt that 75g is alot, after sending him for hair cut I notice his body ribs are portruding out but the stomach isn't.

Is this normal?
