Ok 2 reviews from me today.

First is Canine Caviar Chicken and Pearl Millet Puppy rated 4 star according to here. Been feeding this ever since i got my Maltese. So far when she poop, no smell whatsoever. Easier for me to clean so i guess i'll just stick to Canine Caviar at the moment smile.gif

Second is Blackwood with yellow packaging and purple labels (no numbers and i can't recal the exact name), can't find it in the website. Bought this first pack to feed my Rottweiler. Before this, the breeder fed Eukanuba but I don't have good impression on the brand. Changed to the blackwood, first week the stool was soft and damp, guess she was still getting used to it. After that the stool is normal with minimal smell. I think after this packet finish, i'll be getting the blackwood 2000 and try and see.

Not gonna change food often, don't want to spoil them. If they eat then its fine with me else i'll be having major headache laugh.gif

Maltese and Beagle is 2 different breed and maltese doesn't eat as much as beagle wink.gif
Last time when I'm still feeding them Artemis, a pack of 1.8 kg can last for 2 months. That 1 pack is to feed 2 adult maltese and twice per day so you cant compare it with beagle laugh.gif

Currently I'm really satisfied with Go! chicken, fruits n veggie cause one of my dog who doesnt have appetite is now happily waiting for her meal time and she'll finish all her food~~

@alkt: I think you should feed more to your puppy but make it 3 times a day rather than increase ur current amount of food. It's better to feed her lesser amount but 3times a day rather than feed more but twice a day. Once she reach adult you can changed to twice a day smile.gif

You caged her or put her inside a pen? anyway let's continue on our thread. This is for food analysis and we are going further away from the real topic smile.gif

Melaka i think most of the petshop selling low branded kibbles. The best i see is Royal Canin only. Most shop carry Pedigree, Alpo or Hills

Well, i didnt find any info on this Maximus brand in famous website such as dog food anaylsis or dog food advisor.

Base on my experience and point taken from here and there in dog food website, the first ingredient is ground corn. First ingredient is the major ingredient and it's always better if it's meat rather than corn. Corn is an inexpensive and controversial cereal grain of only modest nutritional value to a dog. Chicken meal 300% more protein than chicken as it is concentrate chicken which is a good ingredient. It's spose to be the first ingredient.

The third ingredient includes oat groats… a whole grain, minimally processed form of oats. So long as they are adequately cooked, groats are unusually high in nutritional value. Wheat flour… a highly-refined product of wheat milling containing more than 80% carbohydrates.

Dried beet pulp is a controversial item which means having mix negative and postive opinion. It's a high fiber by-product of sugar beet processing Then poulty fat spose to be good if the identified what type of animal fat they use. Chicken fat is good. Since there’s no mention of a specific animal, this item could come from almost anywhere… restaurant grease, slaughterhouse waste, diseased cattle… even euthanized pets

The rest are all just supplement and other which have very minimal impact.

Summary, i will rate this kibbles as below-average kibble.

I suggest people to learn how to read the ingredient of the kibbles as normally, the label is very very fake. Example, Pedigree which said real dog eat real meat but the kibbles are no meat and full of fillers and by product.
