Wow saw so many opinions here on dog food. I would like to share my opinion also ~ haha

I adopted a 2 years old Std Schnauzer a few months back and thanks to my friend who introduce Annamaet Dog Food - Manitok for my dog. It is a grain free dog food without corn, soy and wheat and by-products. So after having this dog food for few months, my schnauzer actually gained weight and is so buffed that it is so heavy for my to carry him around. He is now more than 10kg for a std schnauzer. His poo is solid and not smelly.

But once my dad feed him with Eukanuba (food for another dog, my sister's Pekingnese), the poo starts to smells and its watery. So embarrassed when he poo in Viva Home pet show. lol ~ Damn strong smell =(

Quickly i changed it back to Annamaet and he is now doing fine.

After being in the pet industry for several years, I have met with lots of pet food supplier, distributors, pet shops all around and I have came up with a summary:

Dog Food Standard:
Grain Free (being the highest standard dog food)
Holistic
Super Premium
Premium (being the lowest standard dog food)

Overall, if you are feeding your dog with a high protein dog food, you will only need to feed lesser quantity. Over feeding them will result in more hard work needed to breakdown the food, thus creating a heavy load for the digestive system. =)

More to share, maybe next time ^^

Just my 2 cents =)

Science plan is available at most vets, do call up a few and ask whether they are carrying it.

You can find it at SS 2 - woof furry pet shop. There are actually 3 flavors:

Manitok - Red Meat formula
Aqualuk - Fish formula
Salcha - Poultry (chicken and duck).

Currently I am feeding Manitok to my std. Schnauzer and he is so buff. I guess I shall cut down on the quantity. lol if not will be fei zhai tongue.gif

I think it's your are what you eat applies here.

BTW, here is a good site for Dog Food..http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

Surprise to see the most popular sold dog food like Pedegree and Alpo at the bottom of the table. Even the expensive Hill's are there at the bottom.

Popular because they're cheap and sold in supermarkets, not because they're good.

There is a shop in Tanjung Tokong, Penang selling TOTW. I've been feeding my pup Orijen but it didnt work well on her so I've switch to Acana and still not really working for her. Hence, wanted to find something else for her
