QUOTE(CreepyCrawly @ Jun 15 2011, 07:31 PM) thanks bro, this is the experienced vet i m looking for :-) hold the tort 45 or 90 degree up then put a drop of medicine in each nostril. using a container/box about ur tort size and put in some cloth to hold ur tort in the same position for about 10 minutes to make sure the medicine goes in. Your tort sure will struggle to come out but try to push it back to that position, during the pushing process some how they breath and the medicine will goes in lo how do u apply the nostril drop by the way? I always wonder if we drop the medicine, does it really go into their nostril since the hole is so small? If you dun have any container/box to hold it you can just hold it by ur hand(but tired la:p) and try to push the behind legs to make the same effect... errrr i hope u able to understand my poor explanation This post has been edited by a_sim: Jun 16 2011, 10:58 AM |

QUOTE(iminuru @ Jun 18 2011, 04:52 AM) I'm pretty sure the g.elegans were females hahaha.. thank you iminuru:)....The two g.pardalis should be females too. ( judging from their plastrons and tails ) may not be correct, just guessing. Vets said all male i also doubt so:)... but one of the g.elegans start showing his little thing while i dry him after soaking. So is really hard to tell now:D. |

QUOTE(camillenoir @ Jun 27 2011, 01:08 PM) you should've just applied for keeping permit when you first got the receipt, would've saved you the hassle of doing the declaration. Hmmm...thank you for your help:)the receipt is not a license, it just proves that you got your animals from a legal source. you would still need a permit. what you need to do now is go to your respective wildlife office and ask them whether you can still apply for a keeping permit using the receipt, or if you need to make a declaration under 716. bring along photocopies of your IC and the receipt. means keeping permit and declaration under 716 is totally different thing?... okok i will try to call them... but how come the seller ask me not to apply for the permit, just keep the receipt will do and if anything happen just called the seller directly they will settle for me heeee.... dilemma now ish |

QUOTE(camillenoir @ Jun 27 2011, 03:13 PM) well, declaration under 716 is a process to get animals recognized, recorded and legalized in order to issue license for keeping them. in your case, the animals itself are legal but you still haven't got the permission to keep them. ok to be safe i think i better declare also...the liability is yours since the animals would be in your premise under your charge. the seller could not be charged since he sold it legally. him failing to tell his buyers to get a license is not an offense under the law if he already provided a valid receipt as per required by Section 44 of Act 716. but the buyer (you) is liable to be charged for possession of animals without a valid license under section 60 of Act 716 (50k/2 years prison). even failing to provide a license upon demand by a wildlife officer in itself is an offense under Section 17 of 716 (10k/6 months jail). i guess you know the story about anson wong and the 95 confiscated boas that led to his imprisonment right? those boas came from a legal source with documents, like in your case, the animals themselves are legal. what led to his arrest, confiscation and subsequent punishment is the fact that he didn't have a permit to get the boas over to Indonesia. (as per required under Section 10 of Act 686). just called up wildlife cheras to ask for the extension, they said CHINESE newspaper said got extension but they did not receive any black and white from the head quarter....i said i not able to go today for the registration and they allow me to go some other days as long as i have the receipt...or they can help me to add in leos species into my previous declaration form back in april 2011... but one of my fren is going to register his sulcata and he trying to help me to register for my leos... hopefully everything just run smoothly.... wish me luck |
