Oral is the only way thats most effective (I think) !!

Type of medicine depends - theres a few (different worms will need different types same as dosage )
Best to consult a vet - size of tortoise beside sp all need adjusted dosage !!
Are you over-doing it ? Even if vitamin or Calcium(REPTILES dont utilise such stuff as easily as us , mammals ) I also wont recommend you do it every day , more a type of drugs  !! 

Do you worm yourself every meal ie 3-5 times a day ? (I think most human do it once or twice a year )

Care to show which type of de-worming powder ? So as to determine which type of drug used - or maybe I can help determine dosage

I prefer liquid as dosage easier to calculate and with accuracy (With powder how do you weigh to micro-gram...........)

But in forum pls make yourself clear IF NOT some novice will just take that piece of advice ( just one small little pinch for my 5" leo on their meal once a day) as a sure must and blindly follow !!

reli sad tat my betta is failing me...looks like turtle is much more hardy...

anyway, the other day i saw a diamondback 5 inches selling for Rm288..is it a hard to care for turtle?..i can't seem to find more information on it.. any advice sifus?

i love turtle. use to have a pair of RES. i admit i was a lousy owner, didnt knew a thing about taking care of them, even the pet shop salesgirl told me they should be ok in a small bowl. looking back, i feel so sorry for them.  im planning to get turlte now, but this time im going to get proper tank with basking area n UV lamp. good thing i can get all the info from this thread.

for any pets, we should gather info before getting the animal.

hello. I'm currently trying to decide if I should get a start tortoise but since it is a protected species, what is the process we have to go through to own one? one of my source said that we just need a photostat copy of the dealer's permit/license to sell them and the receipt for purchase another told me that each tort should come with it's own birth certificate endorsed by the ministry in the country of origin...

SAM,what u said is true..its already late to fix the problem..suddenly this fella dead..day before she passed away she really active and eating as usual..the next day i give them sliced carrot..i put in front of her..and i thought that time she was sleeping..after few hours i saw the carrots gone eaten by other IST,but she still there..and after that i realize she already dead.. my wife keep asking me the cause of the death,but i cant say anything..

Yup... it's kinda fun and excited when ppl start to discuss and exchange rather then keep on "taking" but not "giving back".

and another forumer replied.... What do you think? and how the tortoise going to find hard boiled eggs when they are in the wild? and who is going to boil for them ? it almost laugh my head off.....

Don't be afraid to try new method !! Never try never know . But some sp ( dry grassland ie leopard or sulcata ) especially new import should never be put outdoor Straightaway ( our high humid , prolong rain ..... ) will bring about RNS easily .

Need anything just ask ( no question too noob if enough research done )
below are some I heard over the years ( q I chose not to answer or comment )
- desert sp thus no need to drink water
- desert night v cold thus can stay in my aircond room
- lettuce are best food
........ Etc

Cement can be bad at times ( coldness from below can hinder with digestion )
Try jail them in cages ( roof , heat lamp .... Etc ) for 6 to 12 mths before introduce to outdoor 100% !!
