i reviewed all the turtles in the list, and found a FTW fact - they used the obsolete binomial name Mauremys sinensis preceding Ocadia sinensis. and yeah, i believe many people didn't declare theirs because of this screw-up. Congratulations Perhilitan.

Do they care ? Its still our fault if they come knocking our doors !!

i want to buy this type of tortoise for my GF..can i know what type is it?
how much will it cost me?can i get it from pet wonderland mid valley?

any tips what i need to make sure it safety?tank & etc?what kind of food?all sort of things LOL..
*
Thats a sulcata Tortoise -Geochelone sulcata

They can sell from anywhere between RM 300 to RM 1000 or more for larger specimen !!

As for if available in Mid-valley depends as these are seasonal imports (almost 90% or more are ranched or bred in Africa or elsewhere ) I would say 10% or less are bred locally !!
Cheers

They do grow fast and huge , do think carefully before you go seek and buy one !!

As for tank as big as you can provide with a dry bedding ie paper/wood pellets , hay , newspaper ...etc

Food - grass , hay or any high fiber greens !!

GOOGLE and do some read up !! If in doubt then ask here !!

Cheers SAM

Price and cuteness not the only consideration !! As soon as 5 years they can be larger than a foot long and not many tank can hold them then !!

So do think trice before getting one or more !!

Cheers Sam

Rm 300 a pc ?? Soo Soo expensive , highest I paid many many years ago also only rm 150 cheapest only rm 50 a pc now all big big size !!

Just wanted to remind you that this pignosed turtle also known as FRT( Fly River Turtle) are CITES listed, thus one will need special license to keep under our newly amended wildlife law !!

I see..but sorry I totally forgotten about that info. You told me quite a number of stories and possess so many animals (and sh1ts LOL!) that I hardly have the time to keep up. Anyway, I do not know whether the info sent to your pm is useful or not, but you may want to share experience with the individual. You two have a lot in common. All the best bro..and keep up the good work..like always! smile.gif
