Guys, anyone know which cooler is suitable for A42Jv? As, I might leave my laptop on 24/7 for downloading stuffs, I am planning to get a proper one that is actually effective for lowering temperature unlike the freebies version..
Any good recommendations? Cooler Master D1 good enough ar?

just enable loudness equalization and your speakers should be louder...
for me the speakers are still ok compared to the crappy 4741g speakers which i cant even hear anything
*
still, it's quite soft compared to most of the other laptop brands like Dell, HP, Toshiba etc..

2.6K with 4gb ram upgrade is already cheapest of the cheapest already... What is he complaining about?? >< 2gb ram upgrade normally around rm140-150.....

I guess high temp in the long run would shorten ur lifespan of the laptop and high temp would result in worse performance as well.. So definitely need a cooler

Of course it makes a big diff if U wanna multitask...

Windows 7 itself already uses around 1.1gb of ram... 2gb won't be fully utilise since part of it would compensate for the Intel GPU.. 2gb -1.1gb - intel gpu usage = not really enough if u wanna run heavy memory apps or SC2

Added on August 13, 2010, 5:00 pmFor some heavy games, definitely better gaming performance

I had a free one... But it was stupid/ugly and doesn't fit the keyboard...
I had it sticked for a month cause i wanted to prevent dust...
But then when i finally removed it, I find it better much to type without it lol..

hi, wanna ask, at LYP, can recommend me the shop that sell Asus A42JV with latest price @ RM 2450++, because at Garage Sale got ppl sell it at that price.
TQ..1 more thing, i also check the latest notebook price at hardwarezone, the cheapest one is at cycom @ RM 2599.
*
I heard someone got it for 2.6k with 2gb ram upgrade at Sri Comp...

Those online price list are not updated prices lar since you can still bargain for cheaper price without the stupid freebies...

better double confirm with the pros in the forum... a lot of sellers even in LYP are just shitty ppl who give false informations... They might want you to buy 1 thing in order to clear out the stock so he would hard sell that thing to you..

Changing HDD is considered an upgrade as well...
To me, I am impressed with the comparison of a normal HDD and Seagate momentus XT, IMO it's worthed the money compared to an overpriced SSD.... SSD in 2 years will drop price a lot.. just wait...
