18-55mm VR + 55-200mm VR can be a suitable lens or not?

looking for cheap and good lens..

Reason I bought 16-35 was for portraiture with landscaping . Everytime see bokeh at the back I also getting bored of it lah... inspired by those sifu here xD (you know who you are haha!).
Yeap, good combination, better than 18-200's IQ minus you need to change lens at different range.
Last checked, this new one cost about RM2850.

tokina 116 no distortion? ur tolerance level quite good le...the reason i skipped UWA and went to primes is because of distortion..

erkkkk i thnk the distortion quite high lo. unless the subject only 2/3 of the frame and at the center

u cant compare prime lens to zoom lens. eventho its cheaper but its better

imagein 24-70 f/2.8 '' so exp! hahah...
i can get 2 good primes and a flash with that price

Beat in price wise? 70-200 f/2.8 VR II close to 7k isn't it  .

20mm f/2.8, 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8 (1.4d also ok), 85mm 1.8 ( not too bad but canon one is better...wait for nikon/sigma 1.4 )

Err there are lots of prime lenses with VR:

1. 105mm VR (as mentioned above)
2. 200mm f2 VR
3. 300mm f2.8 VR
4. 400mm f2.8 VR
5. 500mm f4 VR
6. 600mm f4 VR

if its on a ff body...if not,its within the normal wide range only..btw,no more new picture taken with the lens??..come on poison us more..

I just had this problem yesterday as i was messing around with my new lens. I was switching the configurations ,turning it around till i find one which allows it to work. lol

1xTamron 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 Macro + UV Filter for RM650

Advise on the price please Was it a good buy?
