QUOTE(oyama @ Jun 3 2010, 03:56 PM) 200mm/300mm with Tele Converter 2x? do these TC do any good? it will sacrifice few f-stop if not mistaken.. correct me if i'm wrong.. yes can use TC when taking moon shots, just adjust accordingly since you'll be putting it on tripod.

QUOTE(dj.sars @ Jun 4 2010, 10:06 AM) been running around with my d90 but still very fresh in this hopefully i get to learn more from you guys here btw i just wanna ask for taking pictures for clubs and parties people are telling me i need flash but i dunno nuts about flash and i was thinking of getting a better lens to be used what would be recommended ? clubs are too dark, even the best lenses won't be able to capture much without a flash. so it's better if you get a flash get the nissin di622, cheap and good.

QUOTE(shinjun @ Jun 4 2010, 11:19 PM) Can, just press the shutter button. If you still don't get it, read the user's manual. i read the manual to find out how to record movie, so it says use the live view. didn't say it can take picture with live view thanks!

QUOTE(gnome @ Jun 11 2010, 04:33 PM) I think i'll just follow my friend philosophy where nikon has spend millions of dollars on their lens coating technology so he finds its not necessary to use all the expensive filters, instead just use normal ones like kenko to protect the front element lol and that coming from a guy who use expensive gear! err, then you're having a chance of spoiling your photo just because of 1 cheap element in front of your lens leh. is it worth it?? if you can spend so much on the lenses, why not spend on the filter?

QUOTE(gnome @ Jun 11 2010, 04:38 PM) You can always take it off and put it back on if you experience the flares. That's what i did but vary rarely i encounter unwanted flares though (using kenko uv filters on my lens) lol very mahfan leh.. unscrew unscrew, then screw screw. Added on June 11, 2010, 4:53 pmQUOTE(celciuz @ Jun 11 2010, 04:50 PM) I don't use expensive gears like your friend, but I would still go for good filter. Why? Because it is often flaring cause by it. I'm using Hoya HD on my 70-200, so far very satisfied with it in terms of flaring due to filter. . how much is your hoya HD? This post has been edited by kenji_britney: Jun 11 2010, 04:53 PM

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Jun 14 2010, 04:59 PM) Actually looking for All in One lens. Haha. Ok2 guys, which one would you prefer with a D90? Tammy 18-250mm, or Nikkor 18-105mm + 55-200mm, or Tammy 17-50mm 2.8 + Nikkor 55-200mm? Tammy 17-50mm 2.8 + Nikkor 55-200mm the best choice. but i still prefer all in one, using my nikon 18-200

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jun 15 2010, 08:43 PM) thats y, its up to personal preference whether the lens suitable for portrait or not but cant jz categorise it as portrait lens jz bcos u like it for portrait, thats wat celciuz trying to say i thk 50mm is gud for portrait for most ppl, but its not a portrait lens, more of normal lens but its jz a name la, the user like to use it for any purpose its up to him/her even 105 macro oso very nice n chun lens for portrait, too sharp maybe i think 50mm and above are considered good portrait lenses because of the DOF, it can produce more bokeh since shots will be taken at a further distance. at closer range like 35mm, you won't get as much bokeh as 50mm does.
