as i know the come out of Nikon 50mm f/1.8 D is to replaced the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 (old lens since 1986)

D-type lens design provides distance information as part of flash and ambient light exposure processes.

Its an IR filter if not mistaken. But for sony one its a camcorder and after 1 month release they recall back their products due to this problem.

hmm btw, wanna ask if anyone knows about any successor for D90? heard a guy from a camera shop saying that D90 will be replaced soon

Only IR cant but because of a feature in that camcorder it allows u to partially see thru clothes... like a wet white t-shirt or something like that, not really sure. Sorry.

Shutter counts relate to the shutter speed used? i tot one cycle of open-close is considered 1 count (a.k.a taking 1 pic is one shutter count) regardless to the shutter speed used

Was about 400-500 for me when I used my kit lens, but right now much more since I changed to a faster lens, thus lesser power required from my SB900.

Today went to my mum's friend's chinese style wedding, I was the only one with dslr so they put high hopes on me. What I shot was the part where the bride makeup and photoshoot with family/friends, then the bridegroom came and meet the bride (and the games etc)

But I am quite disappointed at myself because the WB are out (orange wall, autoWB in Jpeg ), mostly slight OOF/not sharp even though I focused at the eyes (maybe I always capture before it completely focused?) >.<

Or am I pixel peeper? T___T

It wasn't a wedding dinner (not in hotel), it's the ceremony at home which the newly weds serve tea to their parents and take photos etc... And yea they didn't hire any pro photographer, the best camera there was my D90 and 2nd one was a sony PNS.

Actually the photos are okay but not up to my expectation, especially WB and the sharpness, how could I OOF when they pose nicely for me to shoot >.<

You try it now with your cam, set it to Aperture priority. Put +2 and -2, see the differences yourself.

then try to use it...

i dun use it cause i normally shoot in M mode... but it works the same i guess...

Haha similar lah, exposure compensation is for people using semi auto mode like A .
