QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Jul 2 2010, 05:03 PM) Got back my nissin from the distributor, looks like the wireless trigger firmware update doesn't benefit me =( the update is for those with wireless trigger like SU800 or phottix, D90's commander flash can't trigger 100% unless i set the built in flash to TTL. If set to Commander pop up flash and i set the pop up to "--", nissin needs to be in range of the flash area only can be triggered. hmm...sb900 got a sensor at the right side(if the screen facing you), the sensor nid to face to the camera to receive the pop up flash light in order to be trigger....if the sensor face other place,it wont be trigger too...BTW, sb900 can be triggered if pop up flash is set up to commander mode "--" and not in line of the flash area? does this answer ur question?? |

QUOTE(skarebels @ Jul 5 2010, 09:14 PM) use M mode y use iso 50 and 100?? nikon D90 is best with iso 200exposure 4-10 secs try this setting ISO 50 Aperture range: f/5.6 – 11 ISO 100 Aperture range: ƒ/8 to 16 ISO 200 Aperture range: ƒ/11 to 22 better using tripod/remote release QUOTE(superb88 @ Jul 5 2010, 10:38 PM) Hey guys, as I've posted in this thread earlier that I've bought a D90 recently (bout 2 mths ago) and now I rly think my D90 is a grey set though the shop that sold me the camera insisted repeatedly that this is an original set. I was a fool to just believe his words and not double checked properly before purchasing it at RM3250 as I discovered it has no 'nikon mys sdn bhd' sticker on the box & warranty card. It has the stickor 'my world trading sdn bhd' or sth lk that. not too sure bout it... dont worry..ur battery is not fake one..mine was same as urs...Now here's the thing, I heard grey set or local set, there are in fact the same and so far I haven't come across with 'pirated nikon DSLR'. My D90 produce great pictures but one thing which worried me the most is the fact that my battery en-el3e which comes with my new unit has quite a weak batt life span. Averagely on a full charge I can manage only 500-600+ pictures or sometimes even less. And among the 500-600+, probably around 30% or less is taken with flash for wireless triggering purpose. Bottomline is that my batt life is significantly weaker when I compare to a fren of mine who jz bought a D90. Today we did a comparison, with more or less the same shooting style, we started of with 100% batt, by the time we shot 30 pics, his was still at 100% while mine was already at 93% and when we reached our 100pic++, his was still strong at 88% while mine was already 77%. So I checked his batt & compare 2 mine and 2 my amazement, there's diff in our battery! I'm attaching the pic I took to show u guys the difference. The one highlighted in red box is mine while my fren batt is the other. May I know how's yr original batt like? I'm rly furious with the shop, sold me a possibly grey set camera and now I'm rly worried my batt could b a counterfeit one too... Here's the picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50541864@N05/4764187914/ TQ for yr time, guys |

QUOTE(ifaaan @ Jul 5 2010, 11:44 PM) lol. it's always best to use low ISO. especially if you're using long shutter. and just because the default is ISO 200 doesn't it's best lar. hahaha. yup..i know is best to use low iso..but then last i heard, celciuz said D90 iso are best at 200...Added on July 5, 2010, 11:47 pm mine is exactly the same as yours and it is suuperbbb. QUOTE(ifaaan @ Jul 6 2010, 12:14 AM) oh ya ka? bt anyway, about your fireworks shooting thing. if you use ISO 200 and use say 10 second shutter, you might overexpose your photo. this is of course assuming you are using small f/. higher ISO will allow you to use smaller apertures so you get deeper depth of field. but if you want bokeh thn you gotta use low ISO to minimise the light exposure so you dnt overexpose your pic. u could use ido 200 with f/32 but then again...do you really nid bokeh when shooting firework?? from what i see, most firework background are black..because we are shooting toward the sky...unless u are at some higher place lah..then can add in a little bit landscape...somebody correct me if i'm wrong. hahahaha. |
