Hi, where can i extend my warranty? any sony center can extend?

May i know wat is the cost for extended warranty?

no ssd yet...maybe a few months time...i don't think 512 would be enough for me...haha! but then again...i dont have enough money yet for the upgrade... i've bought a crumpler sleeve to carry my notebook around. still on the look out for a slim and light weight bag that will fit the notebook with the power brick and wires... too bad the thinktank is just a few cm short...would have been my first choice...

got vaio SVE14A16FG today
everything fine untill..I decided to swap with corsair force 3 ssd
did clean installation of windows but the problem sometime when retart after vaio logo
there was a message..operating system not found
need to restart couple of times

legacy...if under UEFI totally cannot boot

already on latest firmware..5.02
right now u are running on uefi  or legacy?

if i shutdown no issue...its only on restart
it look like ssd not ready

put back original hdd
create recovery disc image (4 disc)
put back ssd and install from recovery image under uefi
no problem at all..running fine
the bad thing..the recovery disc created hidden recovery partition in the ssd about 16gb
ssd after boot up left 53gb free space only

coming back to vaio after more than 4 years is quite a nice experience (my last vaio is tz series)
but too bad..sony still throw in the least capable gpu
comparing this lappy with my ex-y480 in term of gpu performance..so much different
NFS the run can only set at medium setting

yep gt 650..dont need 2 lappy
but at 2350 (after hard nego),,couldnt resist this vaio..good screen 1600 x 900 and good keyboard
btw..seem cant find the modded radeon driver for 7670 vaio

Vaio S is officially the worst laptop i have ever encountered, slow boot up, crazy noises, overheats like crazy, now my keyboard doesnt work, 3k++ all gone. Since the 1st day i bought it, it was even slower than my duo core desktop.

Im currently using an e-series i5 runs much effeciently and better than my crappy s series i7 which is only few months.

Any of u guys know any solution to fix the overheating, slow boot up and lag issues on my s series? oh yeah , I HAVE NOTHING INSTALLED ON MY WINDOWS 7, NOTHING! i have reformatted and use winxp still the same issue.

Could be the cpu or gpu, im going to sony centre tomorrow to get it fix, the slow boot up comes with an idling as if it is processing something in the background.

Ive looked for solutions over the web , seems that many people are facing the same problem as i am.

wow... must be a lemon. mine got lots of software already installed... still stock hdd boots up at average 35 sec....  claim for warranty woh.

Mine is 2011. Sent today to sony the curve, the lady gave me one look as if i stole the notebook, bloody racial profiling i tell you, she keep insisting me with the receipt and me handling the notebook to her when the website clearly states that it can be repaired once i registered throughout the net. Their SOP for repair and warranty suck balls. She wanted me to provide her my sony login id which i have not looked into for a decade. Went back home registered all my bloody sony products and playstation(which is a separate site) which is a flawed system because i can be buying my notebook 10 years ago and say that i bought it today.

Going back tomorrow or tuesday and see what happens.

well...looking at the bright side...thats security for us! its a good thing cos if someone stole our stuff...and try to get it for service, we still got  chance...

i got mine registered the day after i bought...

czone digital mall around 210... but i saw in cycom pricelist in lowyat around 180+... too bad i already got one when i saw it. though, digital mall is nearer to my place (can walk) .... almost same if i compute the petrol+parking going KL...

anyway...just upgraded to a 256gb crucial m4...(unplanned upgrade)...damn acrobat upgrade mess up my registry...cant even do system restore... would have done recovery but i got lots of data that if i need to transfer from one HDD to my external it would take a some time...no choice but to buy an ssd and install using the recovery drive that i've previously created...

i got my SVS13116 last week. very happy with this laptop, very light and the battery can last quite long on stamina mode. the screen is good too, and is easy on the eyes for prolonged use. only down side is the speakers, very very tiny sounding, so need to use earphones or speakers for better audio experience.

got a free bag and the buffalo HDD, and 2 years warranty from sony centre @ KLCC. no discount though.

all out of sudden, a bunch of dead pixels pop up on my vaio. damn.
