I'm also experiencing very low dl speeds this week. don't know y....last week dl speed can hit 100kbps, but now hardly 4kbps, using the same settings. I got two computers with two different ADSL lines using the same settings, the same happens on both of them.

my 2 cents :

you actually dont expect fast speeds with eMule smile.gif
by chance if you have sources of the same type of media on BT, i suggest you to download it thru BT. its much faster that way.
eMule is good for rare & hard to get files..

This is the problem nowadays, emule users and BT users don't share the same views, emule users say emule better than BT and vice versa, but in my point of view, the market is 50%-50%, it depends whether you know how to find the files only using emule....I'm using emule and BT also and they are actually almost THE SAME!!! who says emule only good for finding RARE FILES??? I got the most updated files using emule!!! sometimes even BT can't catch up with the speed!!! But lately don't know y it gets so darn slow, will have to wait and see first...

KeonG118 what's your max dl speed lately??? average...

Lol i just found this thread .. just started using emule lately .. was wondering why is it so freaking slow. Did the things suggested on the previous pages and it certainly upped the speed. Downloading missing Top Gear episodes that i can't find anywhere else.

your question is too general actually.
no one around can provide you with a definite answer unless you try searching the media by yourself.
most old medias are available for download in emule provided if youre connected to a popular server (eg: the real razorback server) & a high ID session.

I suspect you have the wrong Local IP Address entered.
double check if youre using the right Local IP Address in your modem's startup page.

Start > Run > CMD
type: ipconfig
press enter.
now jot down the IP Address (and not Subnet Mask / Default Gateway / Media State Gateway) and & redo your open ports with that new IP address.

alamak, im not familiar with wireless networking.
try asking in the Network & Broadband section on how to configure an open port.

oh yes,
ip addresses are assigned by tmnet.
local ip address isnt.

try "start > run > cmd"
type: ipconfig

there is a static local ip address there.
