this win all I think... but that's what I think only... GF1 user might think otherwise.... any other GF1 user want to comment?
*
I do agree that if the pancake 20mm is paired with IS, that would be good. thumbup.gif

But then IS is not the only factor for a good overall camera system. smile.gif

EPL1 with 20mm or GF1 with 20mm, both sure has their own pros and cons (I'm talking about focus speed, ISO, features, controls, etc). smile.gif

Both offers different stuff, so it depends what users need right? icon_idea.gif

@gogo, thanks for comments ... yes I forgot use hood for first shot, didn't notice the flare on my LCD. ohmy.gif

Yes I do have CPL on for my kit 14-45mm, but not on my 20mm lens sad.gif That's why on some pics the sky are slight too bright. doh.gif

BTW, I couldn't think of the composition on that time, as it's a company trip, a bit tight schedule. blush.gif

Actually I was thinking if my composition is limited by my equipment, hahaha. I'm still a noob, learning. rolleyes.gif

user. Then you guys can exchange contact and have gathering...
*
I'll rather gather with a bunch of friends and then cam whoring whole day from places to places. tongue.gif

Speaking of which, have we ever have a micro four third outing aka gathering, when can we have one ? brows.gif

wah. hentam so bad ar. but i kinda agree with you. sony's innovation on their products is not practical usually. it would be great if the power button is just a slide button, but they make it a twist button, how innovative is that. same goes to my vaio and i dont wanna mention it already lol.
*
Actually I think a twist button is more practical, it prevents accidentally slide the power switch. smile.gif

For those GF1 users, you may know that the GF1's slide power button is on right top of the camera (slide right to turn on). I store my cam left side facing down and lens facing right. So sometimes I will accidentally slide the power switch up when I'm placing it in (or out) the bag. blush.gif

Of course this may be due to my usage habits la, since it's manufactured this way, I had to be careful myself. wink.gif

haha so the press power button is the most practical then tongue.gif.

which case are you using mr wuahaha?
*
BTW, the power button also may get pressed right ? I dunno haha. tongue.gif

I have two shoulder bag, my first bag was a cheap one can only hold the GF1 body + 2 kit lens + blower + hood. wink.gif I use it when I dun bring many things. smile.gif

Then I bought a KATA DC-439 after I bought the MMF1 + 70-300mm tele lens (in which I sold both later). Use this for going outstation, coz got more space can carry extra filters, batt charger and the rest all in. smile.gif

Still saving for a tele lens .. or maybe I might upgrade my camera set. rolleyes.gif

There is a focus point but its not a point per say. The conventional DSLR uses phase detection for focusing so there are sensors involved. If you see through the viewfinder you will know what I mean.

Cameras like the PEN/GF-1 uses contrast detect focusing but in my opinion they are not as accurate. The E-PL1's focusing is based on an area selected. And that area isn't small/fine enough especially when you're working with a thin DOF. You just want a small point or plane to be in focus. Say if you want to take picture of dogs. Dogs has long nose. And we tend to point the focus area at the dog's face. But the long nose may fool the sensor to make it focus on it. So you get a picture with only the nose in focus but the dog's eyes are slight out of focus due to the thin DOF.
*
And we wouldn't notice that slight difference from the LCD screen, even with GF1's high resolution LCD screen I tend to miss the focus. This is an AF problem for the m43 systems. wink.gif

For GF-1, you can adjust the size of the focus area, as well as the location of the focus area. Setting the focus area smaller would make the focus more accurate in this case, i suppose.
*
Don't forgot GF1 has the Pre-Focus feature, with it on, it will auto focus on the the targeted area or face depending what focus mode you use, BEFORE you depress or half depress the shutter button !! thumbup.gif

This is good for those fast action shooters. icon_idea.gif But I off it coz I think it will keep focus hunting if I move around the cam for no reason, contributes to more power usage I guess. tongue.gif

bought my GF1 last week combo with 20mm pancake.hehe.anyway,is there any different if i use normal SD card or Extreme version ?
*
Hi, I got two SD cards one is microSD card 8GB Class 6 and another is SD card 8GB Class 4. I feel both are the same in terms of speed of photo taking only. I believe you will feel the difference only when you are using burst mode JPG or RAW (file the bigger the slower of coz) and HD video recording. You better get at least a Class 6 card for faster storage. icon_idea.gif
