Yeah man ... Yamiya does have mistakes on their descriptions ... I saw a lens with 2 years warranty, but after I email them to confirm .. they said no it's only 1 year, and then they corrected the description LOL shocking.gif

Moral of story, always double check with them to confirm la .. they do reserve the right to change without prior notice (if stated in T&C). tongue.gif

hehe

even in ebay Malaysia, some no stock still advertised. I click buy then say no stockk..

LOL Maybe just happen in Malaysia haha! hmm.gif

Last year my company bought two lappies from Dell Malaysia, forgot what model and spec. Story is something like this, they ordered CPU C2D 2.66GHz, but after 1+ month didn't come, so they called Dell, reason no stock for CPU. Then ask if can accept lower CPU 2.00GHz, but then no refund. doh.gif

hmm...oly colour is really saturated ..! i lov it.. GF1 colour is just a bit too 'real'.. and shooting human will make his face become too chocolate and dark..wont look nice.. but in some situation, its really good to have natural colour ..  blush.gif
*
Too chocolate and dark ? Maybe wrong WB ? With some color refining .. it should be ok. hmm.gif

But the truth is GF1 does product more natural color overall. wink.gif Most people said you need to shoot RAW and PP to get the best out of it. doh.gif

i dunno about u.. i feel m43 user is not those who want to PP and shooting raw...

and for color, i think maybe GF1 can set some colors... to match Olympus...
*
Yeah, I know, I never tried shooting RAW, only done slightly color, contrast and WB tuning for some pictures. tongue.gif

Yeah .. now I've learn the settings on GF1 itself, I get much better result compared to earlier times when I just started using. thumbup.gif

Cool Bro. Oh ya, it may sound like comparing ep2 with G11! Definitely ep2 is way way above g11, no doubt! And that's why I go for ep2 and trash G11! But the truth is, I have read some review that I dont remember where that it mentioned G11's light sensing ability has been pumped up and this is proven through my use of G11 for about 3 months. During that time, I was really amazed at G11's ability to handle low light, given its small size sensor. Imagine if they transfer this technology to its bigger brother, those big guns EOS series!  yawn.gif

Unfortunately I have sold off my G11 to upgrade to ep1 and now to ep2. May be I can still scavenge for some G11 photos and post them here later tonite.

cheers
*
Dun bother Gogo2 la .. he's always like tat teasing people. laugh.gif

Btw .. I dun think ur comparison is wrong .. just I guess none of us had the luxury to compare the cameras. sweat.gif

If you do have some pictures please share .. is like my fren with a D90 took a lousier picture than me, doesn't mean my GF1 is more superior than his. brows.gif

My consideration is very wide now tongue.gif
Undecided as usual... 550D... GF1... E-P2... or stick with my teeny S90.
*
Depends how/wat u gonna use the new camera for ... wat u wan to shoot. If ur S90 can already do wat u need, then no point upgrade right? laugh.gif

Yeah.. I love compacts to death for the carry everywhere capability... especially the S90 and frankly, I'm considering getting another camera mainly because of samurai1337's poisonous flikr!!!!  vmad.gif

However, the size also cannot be too big cos the only time that I really have for tangkap gambar is on biz trips etc ... and for these, I cannot pack a dslr.
*
Seriously bro, m43 is not "that" small either .. unless u can live with 20mm only, which I doubt so. If you have a complete set with kit lens + 20mm + other tele + EVF + flash etc etc, u need almost (maybe just 60~70%) size bag of a DSLR. wink.gif

So if u have a nice compact cam (S90) already, u should get a DSLR instead ... maybe u wan to look info E-P2 or G2 for more pro m43 cams? brows.gif

Dear Pro m 4/3 users.

i would like to ask a noobish question lol.
im using a gf1 with 20mm lens.
but i would like to get a nice good CHEAP zoom lens. somthing in the range of 15-150mm!
but the leica with adapter will cost about 5k.... and the panny HD recording lens costs about 3k...
haha are there any other more "affordable" alternatives!!
thanks!
*
If you don't mind manual focus you can get adapters for Nikon or Canon lenses. tongue.gif

I think the answer is no, especially you would need OIS for zoom lens on GF1

If you don't mind the range of 45-200mm, Panasonic has one native m43 lens
*
Or he can wait for Olympus 14-150mm for m43, but dunno the price though ... hmm.gif

Agree... for GF1, only 50-200mm lens from Pana is the best.
No OIS... will be bad for GF1
*
Ya true .. but IS dun really make tat difference actually, but I will go for 45-200mm also tongue.gif

hmmmm so u guys recommend the 50-200mm?
i was kinda trying to save up for the 14- 140mm one instead for a wide range of 28-280mm
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0903/09030314...c14-140mmhd.asp
*
If you dun have the 14-45mm kit lens, then it's better for u to get the 14-140mm. icon_idea.gif You have a wider range compared to 45-200mm, but u dun have the extra reach at 400mm (35mm equivalent). But heck ... next time when the Lumix 100-300mm comes out u can get tat for the 600mm reach ! thumbup.gif

but u lose the reason why u buying m43...

50-200mm or 14-140mm is big....

I think u should get at least 1 pancake like Oly 17mm f/2.8 or Pana 20mm f/1.7 .. then either get 50-200mm or 14-140mm..

I hope you have put pancake into ur consideration.. its a must for m43...
*
Bro .. I think u meant 45-200mm? tongue.gif

Btw, he said he using GF1 with 20mm already. rolleyes.gif

I guess Panasonic manufacturing cost is somewhat higher since it's based in Japan

Sample fisheye images
http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/systemcamer...ml#lensfisheye8

No doubt about the sharpness, but I still can't justify myself spending 800dollar for what I consider a specialty lens...
*
I also dun understand why Panasonic are selling their stuff at so high price ... do you know Panasonic Malaysia consider lenses as accessories and carries no warranty? doh.gif

im using a gf1 and i want to get a remote shutter.... (wired or wireless? or infrared?)
can recommend me a good affordable alternative? or brand or model?
i've searched the forum for 1month plus but could not find 1 for the gf1...
and the original is $175 omg so mahal for 1m wired shutter remote!

1 more supernoob thing...
can anyone teach me how to post pics here lol. i wana show u guys some pics! smile.gif
*
I'm GF1 user too, I dunno got any shutter remote haha. Guess u have to Google more blush.gif

For posting pictures, u need to upload ur pictures on ImageShack or Flickr or any image hosting place. Then use the [IMG] tag to post. Make sure ur image size do not exceed 1024px for height or width. icon_idea.gif
