QUOTE(bobds78 @ May 19 2010, 02:36 PM) if you own a house, probably you would have already some form of Household Insurance covering your personal effects (electronics etc), just check with your agent if your equipment is covered or not. Other wise, your agent should be able to provide a fresh new coverage for it. Just make sure the premium isn't too high, or else its not worth it. household insurance like shit one..i ask them before..if i insure my SLR n lens..which cost rm30kTry this one, looks like they provide coverage for digital cameras: ORIX let say one day touch wood get stolen..so how they are going to pay me.. they mention based on second hand market value..then i ask them for olympus what is the 2nd hand market value..and what is the benchmark to determine the market value..the insurance agent was like err err 2nd hand value lo.. it means happy they give me maybe 50% of the actual value you insured but slr is not like car...my lens is 3 years old but does not mean it will depreciate more than 60%.. so is all marketing gimmick..come to payment they all sure give a lot of grandma story.. |

jpeg or raw is a matter of preference...some say why shoot raw when u can make it right the first time using jpeg and some say otherwise...in the end it is up to the photographer to justify his/her own action on why he prefer the certain format..in the end..it is all about ...the photographer way of enjoying photography...

just look at the high iso for sony nex
http://dpreview.com/reviews/SonyNex5Nex3/page16.asp what a dissapointment...expecting heaven n hell type of difference in results since they keep on emphasizing on the LARGER sensor..but guess they screw it... |

QUOTE(mersey96 @ Jun 8 2010, 09:51 PM) hey ask you guys a question... that why i never pinjam...if a good friend of yours asking you to borrow your M43 camera to try out during his one week vacation.. will you allow? this actually happened to me recently.. and I said yes since he was so close to me and I doubt he will not treat my GF1 nicely.. but the thing is, when it returned to me, I'm stunned by the shutter count reading.. when I handed it to him, it was around 11K.. guess what's the count now? a staggering 40K!! my goodness.. i'm definitely sakit hati to see my camera life span shortened so drastically.. anyone knows the life span of GF1's shutter? |
