Dont worry that's idle clock at 0% CPU load.

i know. maybe in the future intel will allow user to specify their own lowest speed step frequency in the bios tongue.gif

QUOTE(stasio @ Mar 24 2012, 12:02 PM)
Z77 Asus and Gigabyte on C-Zone price list:
the 3rd gen processor still not available so people will hold the mobo, unless they want to plug in their sandy bridge.
anyway c-zone should make sure that they actually has the stock, because based on my experience when z68 release, they put in their pricelist, but when i came to their shop, they said "stock not available, the item inside the pricelist is for EARLY PREPARATION"

means, they forgot the word "coming soon" wink.gif

it is ENGINEERING SAMPLE after all. why so serious? *SIGH*

i think the reason why the delaying the launch is to solve the heat sensor on ES before launch it to retailers.

after that those people, most of them just buy it and use it.

just call czone and they denying that they already has ivy bridge in stock. play safe maybe wink.gif

or they just want people to come and ask, not via phone

all the testing was manually setting the vcore and manually setting the multiplier. they should test by using turbo boost accelerate to 4.6 to see whether the temperature is still same like manual multiplier.

like 2600K, there are huge different of temperature for 4.9GHz manually-set multiplier with 4.9GHz with turbo boost. of course with turbo boost you won't get the same speed at the same time.

but i like the way it is, using turbo boost when needed and speed goes down when idling.
conclusion, i will grab it end of this month. yeh! \o/

Anyone knows anyone in Lowyat selling those chips now? I knew some have already got the 3570's but its a question of whether they are willing to break embargo on the chips.
*
according to ark.intel.com, launch date will be 29/04/2012.

so it will be available @ 29th. of course some shops/retailers already sell it because they do not understand what is NDA stands for wink.gif

Base on the review we see today Ivy bridge hates voltages, in other words Fix voltage is the way to go for OCing Ivy bridge.

Looks Off set overclocking is no longer be good in Ivy bridge.  sad.gif  and we cant set offset negative voltage too low, since Ivy min voltage to boot are almost as high as Sandy bridge.  sad.gif
*
QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Apr 24 2012, 04:03 PM)
So guys? What do you think? SB or IB for air cooler overclocker? Some claimed 4.6Ghz IB are equal to 5Ghz SB? Is that any true? Kinda disappointed because I'm planning to go for Intel build this time and I wait for quite a time for IB, BUT... there it goes the temp issue.
*
all the reviews are made by testing the ENGINEERING SAMPLE chips. don't you think consumer chip will be based on engineering sample? there are reason they sent engineering sample to testers. and thats the reason. heat issue, bla bla bla.

then you think the problem will be put in the consumers chip? come on. doh.gif

for example, windows 8 developer/consumer preview, people test, and find bla bla bla. are you think microsoft will release the same version as final retail products??? *SIGH* whistling.gif

p/s: ...and again, like my a-year-statement, if money is not an issue, just buy it. whistling.gif

Based on what you said, is Cyntrix also sell the ES chips? hmm.gif  Because he also claim that IB having issue with high temp for oc'ing. As you can see here;
Cyntrix IB build
Yeah dude... I have the same thoughts with you too. It's not just Cyntrix. There are few other seller already have this thing in their store. Let's hope what cybersans  said is true... sweat.gif
*
oh my bad, i didn't realize someone already test the retail chip whistling.gif

like previous sandybridge, many sites claim that it is bla bla and bla. after a year i use that chip, i can say 90% of claims that they made were ridiculous, annoying, and may i speak frankly, too much bullsh*t, and based on self-experience. my point is, you buy, you test, and you will know.

...and again, those only apply to whom doesn't care about reviews, reviews and reviews. have a money, go to shop, buy, assemble it, and use it. after that you will know.

people will not know what will happen if not experience it. it is like to hear a sad story from a person who has a bad luck on something. doesn't mean you will fall into the same problem wink.gif

Got stock or not?

they are stereotype, displaying some kind of model, but actually saying that "stock not available", or worst, they don't even make any inventory yet. the same thing happen to some shops, already display some model inside their lists, when customer ask, they say "stock is not ready yet". but they already put it inside their list. that scenarios are similar like african diamonds/black money scam that always flooded our email systems laugh.gif

i planning to change all pc to ivy

if you are concern about power consumption, then change it. if you are concern about performance increase, then change it.

i already make transition from SB 2600k to IB 3770k and i never regret. do not trust everything people write/type in the forum, hardware portal whatsoever. they told a lie and talking crap. whistling.gif

seriously, IB is awesome.

yep, it already available if you know where to find. do not ask single/small reseller in this forum. they are slow (no offence) comparing to the already established shops @ lowyat plaza. i ask 2-3 persons in this forum about 3770k and their answer are stereotype: no stocks, bla bla, no stocks, bla bla, distributor still not sending inventories bla bla. the funny things are, they already put 3770k in their lists tongue.gif

to answer your question, i bought @ compu-zone @ lowyat plaza last saturday. thumbup.gif

next time, go to shops and buy. small retailers always get their stocks late because from the eye of distributors, this small retailers are not important, and give small profit. also has small amount of customers wink.gif

p/s: already enjoy playing with my z77+3770k. muahahahaha tongue.gif
