what i do not understand until now, why they are limited supply of 3770k? this situation caused big resellers make a policy where customers need to buy the whole system, not just the processor itself.

the question is, why still no news about availability of 3770k among big & small sellers? are they hide the stocks like a sugar & cooking oil? tongue.gif

or the factory is blackout caused supplies truncated?

anyone, resellers can answer? doesn't matter if you are shark or anchovy biggrin.gif

when i googling using a keyword '3770k limited supply', around the world experienced this shortage.

anyone here who:
a. has a friend inside intel
b. has a distributors who deal direct with intel
c. his/her house in front of intel factory tongue.gif
d. being dating girl/guy who work with intel
e. doing business selling intel products

can tell us a story about this shortage? how come manufacturer did not provide enough inventories before launch the product? yawn.gif

just a concern. there are many people want to get just only a processor since it can be use with existing 1155 socket. but they failed to do that. even i need to get a new mobo to get that ivy bridge. my existing z68, i just hang it at my ceiling to become a tang long tongue.gif

the reason why intel release E version before mainstream because they want to compete with AMD, like the nehalem era. when AMD is far far far behind, no need to rush for intel. of course, the 'defect' integrated heat sink with chip's die improper contact is not a big issue.

people who already has ivy bridge who want to accelerate beyond 4.6GHz need to do what some crazy people around the world did. open the IHS, replace the TIM, and put the IHS back. you will get same frequency and same temperature like sandy bridge, but with extra performance gain thumbup.gif

if you wouldn't dare, just stay at 4.6GHz tongue.gif

12 cpu power phase in enough to every chips available in this world, from downstream to mainstream until extreme. 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and you name it power phase is just a waste of money. in other words, it is just a marketing gimmick from manufacturer wink.gif

if the usb ports in backpanel is not enough you can use the mid-board usb and connect to usb ports that can be attached either at pci slots or front panel.
