@leaf - yea! heres something to always remember -
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone..

can believe this?
Liverpool line-up Rangers' £5m defender Madjid Bougherra...if Rafa Benitez stays

Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra could be a summer target for Liverpool - if Rafa Benitez keeps his job.
The Anfield boss is thought to be keen on bringing the Algeria international back to the Premier League ahead of next season.
But with Benitez's future on Merseyside uncertain, any hopes Bougherra may have of a summer move to Liverpool will hinge on the Spaniard staying at the club.
Bougherra's agent Farid Raayad said: 'There’s serious interest from three clubs and Liverpool’s is the strongest, but it depends on the future of Benitez.
'Panathinaikos are also interested as are Fenerbahce.'
Bougherra, who is rated at around £5m, could be joined at Anfield by teenage team-mate Danny Wilson.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old as he refuses to sign a new deal at Ibrox after bursting on to the scene this season.

Rafa Benitez Set For Crunch Talks With Liverpool Over Future

Spaniard wants talks to clear the air.

By Will Ashwell
May 2, 2010 7:04:00 PM

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is set for crunch talks as speculation rises over whether or not he will remain at Anfield next season.

The Spaniard will sit down with Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton to clarify both the manager and the club's future.

After losing to Chelsea in the Premier League, Liverpool have been resigned to a trophy-less season and will not be in the Champions League next season.

Juventus have reportedly come to an agreement with Benitez and are awaiting his signature, and the former Valencia boss should make a decision this week where his future lies as Liverpool continue to look for new owner.

“I have four years left on my contract and I still have to talk with the new chairman,” Benitez told the Daily Post.

“Nothing is clear-cut, nothing is straightforward. We have to wait. It is not just for me to ask one or two questions.
“I haven’t met the chairman yet. But I will have a meeting with the new chairman in the next few days.
“If we have a conversation we will try and keep it private. It is just to talk about the future.

“You are asking about my future, but the future of the club is more important.

“The fans don’t have any doubt about the commitment and passion we have shown this year. The fans want to know what is going on and I want to know.”

Benitez has criticized the club's current ownership for failing to back the manager in cash for new players.

“The manager has been taking responsibility at this club in the last few years for everything,” he said.

“I don’t know if that’s the way it should be. The last few years it has been the manager’s responsibility all the time.

“We have been trying to do our best for the beginning to the end.

“Now we have to carry on with the Hull game and another four more years of my contract.

“I was talking about speculation in the last two or three weeks and have been reading about a lot of managers in the news, but we cannot keep talking about the speculation.

“We have another game and we have to do our best until the end. We are thinking about doing things for the future.”

Exclusive: Valencia's Ever Banega Keen On Liverpool Switch

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega is keen on securing a summer move to Liverpool, Goal.com has learned.

It appears that Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is set to raid his former club to fill the void left by the departure of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid last summer and it is believed that Banega is fully in favor of a move to Anfield despite the lack of UEFA Champions League football on Merseyside next season.

Sources close to the 21-year-old central midfielder have told Goal.com Spain that the Reds have made an enticing offer, the terms of which Banega is said to be happy with, paving the way for a move which would see him link up with fellow Argentinians Javier Mascherano and Emiliano Insua.

It is understood that Liverpool have made a bid of around €10 million, which is rumored to match Banega's new buyout clause but is considerably less than the €18 million los Che paid Boca Juniors to take him from the Bombonera two years ago.

Valencia's financial problems are well publicized and despite talk of potential big money departures from the Mestalla, such as David Villa and Juan Mata, the transfer income from such sales would not be sufficient to plug holes in their massive debt and so los Che now seem willing to cash in on Banega, even at a loss.

i also heard that we are considering Edin Dzeko as replacement for Torres..

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jun 8 2010, 03:25 AM)
being a good manager isnt just about selecting the players and doing the tactics...any armchair hero can also do that.
its also about pacifying & motivating the team, controlling the various personalities / egos in the team...and nothing can teach u that but experience.

and whos not to say that dalglish hasnt been catching up on the game ever since rafa brought him back to anfield one yr ago?
dalglish has obviously been in and out and around anfield, and for all you know his old no.8 has been helping to bring him back up to speed.

and whos to say that dalglish wont be able to do well? in fact, whos to say that any other manager would do well in liverpool?
*
nowadays, being a good manager is about handling PC, boosting morale of the team.. have to have good PR skills, not only in depth knowledge / tactics of the game..

didier deschamps - looking at his managerial records, he doesn't have any CL experience.. domestically, i think he's good.. a coach during the Juve scandal, bringing them back on track, same goes to Marseille, giving them 1st league title in 18 years.. all in short term duration.. makes you wonder what he's capable in short term period..
IMO, LFC needed morale boost more than ever this time around..

Report: Liverpool Boss Roy Hodgson Ponders Move For Inter Midfielder Rene Krhin

Liverpool are set to move for Inter starlet Rene Krhin, according to La Stampa.

Roy Hodgson likes the player and his good relations with Inter could help him push through a move for the Slovenian midfielder.

Jose Mourinho used Krhin sparingly last season, but he was registered as part of the Champions League squad.

The 20-year-old Khrin hopes for regular action and he could be turned on by the lure of Premier League football.

He has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, but Hodgson's friendship with Inter chief Massimo Moratti could prove pivotal if negotiations take off.
