lol. from my experience when i hear the sound of the ES10
i doubt 200 hours is going to make a improvement..
i will seriously suggest 600 hours at least to make the driver matured.

it does happen on my ES7 that it takes more than 500 hours to be matured. lol

Well, u know the old saying. Patience is a virtue. The last time i wanted that long was for my brand new stereo amp to run-in. Meantime, can still rely on my trusty ES7.

That's why I am considering between the AD700 and the M50.

But like I said, sometimes the M30 sounded a little 'nasal', and the music is like 'in-your-head'. I am not sure if this is because of the M30 being a studio monitor headphone. And if it is, then will the M50 has the same properties?

well... m50 is a monitoring headphone also...

well... u can try ad700... or if u can up-ed ur budget... go for ad900 ( it's really a level up... ) or if u got even bigger budget... i terus ask u to jump to AD2000 ( it's the highest level for ad-series at the moment... )

=) then u have to try w10vtg... ( woody has it's own distinctive sound signature which is lovely for vocals... believe me... u will fall in love... )

I believe I will fall in debt with the bank first before I can fall in love with it.

hahha. ya men. i finally made the decision to stop upgrading my hifi now i am going into head phone. My bank account is looking sickly.

get a headphone that have your favourite sound signature..
then u wont bother with other better headphones.. since, no matter how good the upgrade is.. u'll miss having your preferred sound.. so u'll be reluctant to upgrade..

then later get a correct amp that synergize best with your headphone.. to improve your favourite siggy even further..

ATH-M30. Planning to get two more. An earphone that matches/to replace my sennheiser CX400. Then another headphone that matches my sound signature.

This is actually the first time I heard of the term 'sound signature' so it seems I still have much to learn. So I hope all the Masters here can teach this young Padawan.
