LOL, seriously, I might be lucky I think.
When I first bought Left 4 Dead, I was playing with pubs for the first week, and immediately picked up personally by a clan leader in SG. And since then have been every night Scrim/Training, until the game itself "announced dead" and the clan slowly broke up. And now end up in KGM. LOL  |

For those encounter C++ runtime error during map loading, i may already found the solution.It seem there something wrong at the registry, i use CCleaner which is freeware to fix the registry and it seem i play until now i didnt get any C++ runtime error. Yet i need more ppl help me test out

This scales correctly, so what is normally a 20 damage pounce is still a 20 damage pounce, not 40. For more than 25, you'll have to go pretty high. * You can have to up 3 smokers and 2 boomers. This way, the survivors never know what they are up against. And, in 8v8 games, this equates to pure chaos. * Tanks are 7% faster. * When there are more than 6 survivors, when a tank comes, a second one will immediately spawn. Also I'm not exactly sure how mutation mode will be run. Do they mean everyone only get to play one type of mutation per day? How does that even work?

i think it would be real cool if in episode 3, gordon freeman can have a little side track adventure in the left 4 dead universe. according to the storyline, settings of half-life 2 universe, that is not hard. they are already playing with dimensions, portals, etc. say some freak portal accident happened and suddenly gordon freeman finds himself shooting zombies along with bill, francis, zoey, louis, coach, elis, nick, rose |

Do any of u experience Crash To Desktop problem? It seems my l4d2, sometimes okay, can play all d level, and sometimes after 10-15 minutes suddenly CTD , sometimes it say L4D2 stop working. I read some solution online, but none really work efficiently, any tips? |

see steam icon in system tray at bottom right of the menu.
right click, select games. inside your steam games menu, find left 4 dead 2. right click, select properties. click local files tab click verify integrity of game cache there u go. |

Wow...this DLC got some bugs though..The special infected respawn directly in front of me..and it happens often than before..It might be some problems about this new zombies spawn system..

Actually Valve did quite a nice move on this, as they never release the DLC for L4D yet, and straight went to L4D2.
So those who played The Passing must be excited to wait for L4D's DLC to see the "Prequel" And I got a feeling of "Sequel" for THE PASSING (Remember when they said L4D2 is more "expendable"?), but it might be the end of L4D since it's not L4D anymore, it's L3D |

I finished the campaign in under an hour lol. And it took me 2 hours to download the whole update.

Zoey's dialog was different when we 1st finish the campagin; she was more graceful - saying goodbye to all the l4d2 survivors.
So I guess the dialog is different or depends on whose speaks to the l4d survivors in the 1st place. |

Seems like the server files with the update got some performance issues. Not sure whats the problem.

How do i connect LAN with my bro in the same room using same router without connect to the internet or joing other server room ? It seems not working while using same tricks in Left4dead1 . |

What's with this slowdown that occurred with the new patch? Even with multicore rendering and vsync disabled, plus shader at medium, the frame rate slowed down to a crawl (Athlon2 X2 3.0Ghz + nVidia GTX260+). This never happened before the patch was deployed.

Sometimes you'll hear NPC talking , safe house nearby , etcYou gotta use your sense a bit |

Mos, isnt there some option to tie the server to a Steam group? also, i can't recall the details, but if i'm not mistaken, if you set a pw on the server, the lobby leader just needs to key in "password xxxx" (xxxx is your password) in the console, and it will allow them to connect to the server.

srcds will be in hibernation automatically mode if no one is playing to save cpu cycles the sv_steamgroup_exclusive 1 wont prevent outsiders from joining the server valve is exploiting 3rd party server providers so they will always have enough deds for the public i heard sv_steamgroup_exclusive 0 AND sv_search_key yourkey can prevent outsiders from joining in but the lobby leader must use sv_search_key before creating a lobby i think |

At the same time, going through lobby and sv_search_key is a bit wonky at times. As in, it doesn't connect to the server and the person who made the lobby is hosting instead. The more sure-fire method is the mm_force_dedicated_servers IP:PORT way. The procedure is the same, you have to make a lobby but before that you have to type that command in the console.

serious is there any l4d2 pub server that ping is under 200ms??? i cant find any accept one 38ms which is always empty.....

Yeah this is weird. For some reason the Steam Group is not working. Using sv_search_key yourkey does not seem to be working either. Since this is happening after the latest update, it is most probably a bug. I hope Valve fixes this.
So in the mean time, if your server is empty, use the "mm_force_dedicated_servers IP:PORT" method instead. PS: If you did the sv_search_key or mm_force_dedicated_servers properly, when you click on "Find Game" in the lobby, it usually takes around 2 to 5 seconds for your lobby to find the server. haha, yeah. i've been using the steam xml api for some time now, though mainly for my old signature. which you can see here.

Anyway we got a mod on mutation release, where it unlock every mutation mode already: Mutation Mode Unlock I am interested with the :Versus Coop (versus) mode - It's coop, with a twist, you play as the infected as the bots try to make it through the campaign alive means no more versus stomping on helpless human souls. ah, thanks mate. mine was made with rudimentary knowledge of aspx and Virtual C#, and the limitations of a free webhosting with no database. i had actually just studied C# for around 2 month or so then.
i load the steamcommunity xml output to a dataset, throw away the unwanted data, and save it into an xml with the same name as the steam user, with a timestamp. image is also saved at that time. i couldnt update automatically though, i needed to visit the page to get the image to refresh. i had arbitrarily set it to a minimum 3 hour update (it really depended on how often you refreshed the page), since mine was not about online status since i mainly made it for myself and no one asked, i never included the variable passing to make it whatever you enter as a steam name.  thanks for your source, it shall be a good study =D EDIT: Mein Gott, its so ficken simple with php and a proper linux webhost!! Playing on public server - Utter boring , its like playing with bots Playing with friends with mic (i.e the great folks @ KGM) - it takes you on to the next level I played yesterday with kambing , strife and ummm madman20 . It was fun , seriously. <3 their sense of humour when playing |

Sorry when we play L4D2 , we make sure that everyone uses a microphone at least. Its easier to communicate. No mic , sorry you are not welcomed. Its simple as that
You can play with random people on public servers which is just like playing with a bot. The reason why you need mic is to convey message and to pass instructions |

I know this might not be the place for what I'm about to ask/say, but why is it so hard to find games through the "Play Online" option.
For example, when I try to search for a Scavenge game there are absolutely ZERO lobbies/games that take place. So the gist of what I'm trying to say is does anybody want to do a Scavenge match? |

depend on the map maker i think, all new map using installer
only ones need manual copy-paste if u put custom map on server, those tarak 1 kenot join at all its nothing like tf2 which auto download the map in l4d2 it just dont let u in |

hmmmm i also got this problem last time.... if u wan to solve it ... give me a gurl... ops candy.... actually i suspect you don't join any group of l4d2 in ur community right? if you join l4d2 group left for dead malaysian alliance.... you will see some server hosted by e-club... but then only 1 server is 30ms ping... the others server is 200++ but still playable for me...

Just finished "DeathAboard2", i gotta say.. its the most awesome custom map i've ever play so far.

need some advice from u guys
just now i opened L4d2, and the moment i have gone into menu it will jump out back to desktop instantly and the game is closed in a blink of an eye. I was able to play without any problem since the last update. but today, i was like wtf. what's going on? anyone facing the same problem? |

i dont know if this will help, but try doing the file verification twice.
i had a similar problem where my games would refuse to work, and only verifying it twice in a row got it back to normal. i still dont know why |

Pop question: Can we play left 4 Dead 2 online with maxis broadband? My speed connection so far are awesome, with limitation of 3gb permonth, is that possible to play several day a week for one month? I always travel, its hard to find a time to play at home with streamyx. So any idea?

next step for metatsu would be to look at the crash data in the mdmp files that should be generated in your steamapps folder. however, i can't help there, not much experience reading those files

thats just the thing mate, you don't need to connect to any server to use those maps. you'll have to ask deimos if he's installed all the custom maps or not.
if not, just make sure you select Host locally when you set up the lobby for your game. a 512 streamyx package is more than enough to host a simple 4 player game. |

Hi guys, my friend just bought a new PC with windows 7 yesterday. He installed L4D via CD and installed steam as well as update the game/steam. When everything is done, he click play and they said launching L4D2. After that the screen goes black for 2 seconds and went back to the desktop. The game didn't start at all. So what is wrong. Any idea?

Guys, how to find servers and sort by ping? i see very few servers, and all with very high pings.

I just joined the Steam e-Club group, but I dont see any of their servers. How do you usually search for servers?
