i noticed that the gmail app doesnt automatically grab new mails in the background when im in wifi mode unless i manually run the gmail app press the refresh button in the app but the "email" app does automatically grab though. Is this normal?

Ive migrated from 4gb to 16gb before, just copied all the files and folders from the SD to a folder in your pc (including hidden ones) and then copy back to SD. That's it. Everything is as it is.

i heard 1.56 FC a lot, did you encounter any problems so far?

its very fast but your words must be clear and should not have much background noise to work. even the voice dialer which doesnt need data / online to work needs to be that way.

Off topic a bit:
yesterday i was recording my insurance agent's talk to me about an insurance plan at giant, even with the background noise present and the noisy announcer that kept announcing looking for X staff etc, the recording was SUPER clear. I think it has something to do with the dual mic noise cancellation feature that is present in the nexus one. Really impressed.

anyone with apps2sd set to 1 by default able to upgrade from FR50?

i noticed one thing about the nexus one, lets say i'm uploading photos to picasa, then the phone screen goes off, the uploading will NOT continue until i unlock the phone. This means as long as the phone screen is turned on, the uploading or any data transfer will go through, otherwise, it will just stop there. wonder whether this is a bug or done on purpose

Edit: This option is only for switching from wifi to mobile data, doesnt seem to work with what i want that is to not sleep when wifi is on
