I like the poll, I am separated between Walcott and Bendtner but I am more frustrated with strikers that cannot finish but still claim he want to be the best,

Walcott on the other hand is very media shy and appear humble. He will learn his lessons if he play more but Bendtner, with the arrival of Chamakh, I believe he should be shown the door or warm the bench until we need him.
*
Why everyone is assuming Chamakh is going to be 200% coming to Arsenal?

Isn't if funny when there is no official news and people starts to assume stuffs.

I chooses Arshravin btw smile.gif

I was under the impression the poll was to decide who to put on the shirt design. Its no big deal actually....unless they're gonna print this for next season jersey. smile.gif
*
now i know. lol. still, bendtner contributed much more than walcott imho. song is irreplaceable for his position. the other should be there..its either walcott or bendtner, thus i choose bendtner to be on my shirt cool2.gif

pergh.. its tough to choose for the pool.. never thought is quite hard to named our 1st team.

for me its a tie between walcott n bendtner.. IMO, walcott contribution this season are not so great compare to bendtner, but he nowadays become an icon for arsenal image. so i guess, from football view, i choose bendtner as 1st eleven, but in term of general perspective, walcott suits best..

sigh~ hopefully u guys get what im trying to say.. hahah laugh.gif

please. i dont want chamakh. B52 should be able to match him. Even if he cannot, he has the potential to reach there. So do the math, one is already here, another one has to spend to make him come here.

If i have to choose. Get a centreback like vermy. flex.gif
And i still do not like almunia. he is just so so so decent. We are Arsenal, a CL-level club. look at other CL-level clubs most of them have above average GK. If they are not as great as buffon or casillas. at least they are more consistent.

almunia, it really looks to me that he perform according to his mood. Mood baik......ibrahimovic, messi, xavi all cannot masuk.

But it does not look to me that AW will even bother bolstering our defences. It is just not our style. tongue.gif

Anyway, i miss David Seaman. brows.gif

however, i do not agree that le Boss should get the blame for lack of backup for Alex Song. who realistically we can get that will be the improvement over Alex Song? i can only think of Flamini, but i do not think he will admit his failure at Italy that soon. if any, i think it had its own silver lining as Eastmond get a chance to show his stuff this season

just out of curiosity if you are not satisfied with our performances this season, on what basis you agree Arsene should not get the sack?
*
that's the thing.. alex song for me is the most improved arsenal player, but the problem is that, when he went away for national duty or when he got injured / suspended, we actually didn't have someone who could stand in for him. sure wenger tried playing denilson and diaby there, but we know that they're much more attacking minded and can't provide that shield in front of the back for. i don't think that it's coincidence that we haven't been playing as well when he's not playing that defensive midfield role. so i felt that in january, wenger should've tried to get reinforcements.. i mean, he managed to get campbell back... i'm sure the extensive scouting network of arsenal could've found someone who could be song's deputy. i mean, i wouldn't even mind eastmond playing there, but he's barely been given the chance to play in the EPL. so for me, i would still put the fault on the gaffer's table.

just to clarify i wasn't satisfied with the 2nd half performance of the season, not the entire season. that's why i said their performances since the new year have been below par. and the reason that i would say that wenger shouldn't get the sack is simply because i believe in what he's doing and what's he done. he has made some mistakes which i have highlighted from my point of view, but i think he's still got what it takes. and also, there's much sentiment for me that i really want to see wenger win the EPL one more time and the CL with arsenal before he leaves.. =) otherwise, it would feel like he left with unfinished business.... heheh... but i also think that the board (or perhaps more specifically mr ivan gazaridis) may need to start putting a little pressure on monsieur wenger to say that we need a trophy in the next 2 years.. perhaps that pressure may help him.... heheh...

hey guys, do u think arsene moves to loan Senderos away is a good idea??
given he already know Gallas is injured, and Vermalean can't stay fit and Silvestre is rubbish..

i rather prefer Senderos at our CB then Unlce silvestre, his mistake prone had cost us too much this season. he, denilson and almunia alone might contribute 9 points at least.

i doubt Wenger will change his policy, but if he can buy a new GK and good cover, we can we the leagues

I'd say Song is the most improved player as well although his progress started last year rather than this season. Having said that, Song still has his weaknesses that needs rectifying but he's a smart lad and will eventually get there. Neither Diaby nor Denilson, even Rambo is suitable to replace Song; but all 3 of them have different roles. Diaby works best against smaller teams but his form fluctuates too often. Denilson is best used as the link together with Song as the defensive anchor and Fabs as the attacking fulcrum. Rambo is developing into a midfield dynamo like Gerrard.

I don't think the board needs to pile more pressure on Arsene, the gaffer himself is his worst critic and it's evident that he's the most stressed out whenever results don't go our way. After all, Arsenal losing Arsene is more destructive than Arsene losing Arsenal. As for Gazi's role, what I'm hoping to see is him marketing our brand to a larger scale. Peter Kenyon did well for both MU and Chelsea, regardless of how much money they've spent to begin with.

Our performances after the new year hasn't been the greatest but we've been playing without half of our first 11 most of the time, and yet still being able to sustain a title challenge until now. That alone, is a great achievement and huge improvement compared to last season. The excuse of injury is old, but this season we have been hit the hardest compared to previous ones but our results have been better; does this not signify the maturation and progress of our club? Yes it does. Don't forget before the start of the season people are predicting us to drop out of the top 4, but Liverpool, not us, are in that situation... and our 3rd spot is almost secured as long as we don't drop more points in a careless manner.

Those who think being trophyless is a failure is their own problem. I think for the dire circumstances of our squad, we have achieved what we set out to do - challenge for the title, and exceeded expectations.

Sendy was supposed to be sold but JD's long term injury plus stalled talks during summer meant he stayed on for a while. Sendy's contract is unlikely to be renewed after the end of this season hence he was let go in Jan to aid his search for a new club. I like Everton as a club, but I'd hate to see Sendy playing against us in blue.

I think it's unfair to single out uncle Mik/Al/Denilson for that 9 points. It's easy to finger point (Luk for Porto lost, Diaby's own goal vs MU bla bla) but this season the games that we lost are mostly the ones where the entire team played badly... apart from the self-destruction at Old Trafford.

I think it's a tricky poll up there...The TS deliberately don't want to put Almunia there so that people can go vote "Im not Arsenal" fans.

i mentioned on the last thread, we are not playing good neither this season but it is better compare to last season.
we are still in title challenge it is due to MU,liverpool and Chelsea both drop points facing missing player for injury, club transferred and ACN

Let's hope liverpool and Spurs drag chelsea down.

The pool is " Out of these 5, who should NOT be Arsenal first eleven? "
Means one of five will not be in ar? Whua so many ppl don't want walcott in the 1st eleven.

that's bcuz walcott is a better sub than a starter. bendt saves our ass lots of times.

and probably the reason why almunia isn't in the poll is cuz there will be no challenger for him.
