To all sifu,

Just to check whether anyone of you have hot shoe problem? I own a a330 and recently it cant detect my external flash (F42).

Any idea how to solve the problem? Possible just to change the hot shoe? My unit still under warranty but i do not have the time to bring it for warranty, and I'm worried that they gonna take weeks to fix it. I'm going overseas next weekend and I need my baby with me.

Any suggestion ?

Have you tried cleaning the flash contact points in your camera's hotshoe? If you have a blue ink eraser, try using that to rub the contact points and try your flash again.

Usually, this is caused by oxidation on the contact points.

Mastering89, u didn't turn off ur camera b4 changing lens? CCD is like dust magnet if u don't switch it off.

yea... should turn off the camera before any lens change is done...

CMOS cam is ok. Just the CCD cams need to make sure off.
