I don't see your comment having anything to do with region lock or DRM. But rather, you're saying that the multiplayer will be dead due to GFWL. Which is utterly baseless.
On my second post, i said about the region problem. Dont put words inside my mouth.
Bulletstorm is a damn good game, but i refuse to get it.

A forum is already mostly a place you look and register for TO REPORT PROBLEMS AND SEEK HELP. Obviously most of the people on the official or even steam forums are going to be the ones complaining. I dare you to find a subforum in the Steam official forums and find a board that doesn't contain complaints on any game.
If GFWL isn't acceptable it shouldn't even be made in the first place. It is acceptable and people have been accepting it since its inception. That's why it's still surviving. To you, perhaps, it isn't acceptable, but don't push that notion onto others, especially with such baseless claims on a constantly improving platform that you, like me, have limited experience with.
I am here to warn other people on the potential problems of this GFWL game.
I have seen lots of complains on other games, that does not have as ridiculous complains as a GFWL game, like someone found out he lost access to a GFWL game because he format regularly or someone bought a GFWL game in UK, and found out he cant play his new SSA DRM game in US. Ubisoft's DRM is pretty bad, not as close as what the worst GFWL can offer. That is the reason why Steam refuse to sell any GFWL on non supported region after so many horror stories of people lost access to their games. I used to read a lot on DiRT 2 forums, and Dawn of War 2 forums, mind you.
Someone took 3 months to talk to Microsoft directly to regain access to his GFWL non SSA game.
Also, tell me does anyone still actively playing Bioshock 2 or GTA4 multiplayer? I dont remember hearing anyone playing those mentioned game online, other than single player.
GFWL is unacceptable, if not, why would Relic rewrite the entire netcode for a 2 year old Dawn of War 2? It's extremely troublesome to do so, and an old game wont get as much profit as a brand new game. Or why Bioshock, Dirt 2 or GTA4 isnt even known for it's multiplayer? The reason is simple, because the whole system is not as good as other offerings. At the same time, it gives a lot of problems to gamers like the infamous Sign in Change problem that some people have. The lack of any official documentation on how the DRM works made it even worse, which is why companies like EA are writing long blog post to explain to gamers on how some of their game's DRM work.
I have a fair amount of experience of this multiplayer system, and yea, the multiplayer is pretty much a wasteland in a lot of cases. Xbox LIVE is very good, but GFWL is just like an alpha version of Xbox LIVE that barely work. The garbage NAT and it's netcode made it hard to use. The thing i hate the most is, despite GFWL is so buggy, Microsoft has made no effort to improve it. There is a new store, but other than that, are there any improvement on the netcode?
GFWL works pretty reasonably if you play with friends, but with the random public, this system is a complete nightmare. Playing DoW2 Last Stand is pretty good with friends, but with the random people in DiRT2, yea, you are pretty much racing with 1 to 2 people out of 8 slots.

Well, not really. Here's my situation:
So I got Dirt 2 of Steam. I downlaoded it into Steam and run it.
After the intro the game asks me to login into windows live.
So to login I input my regural windows live account credentials. Now it asks for game serial, so I paste the serial Steam told me to paste after I installed the game. Wait for a while for the thing to process ... and damn I get informed that its not possible to use my windows live account, something about unsupported country.
Well not the first time to see that happen in a GFWL game (the famous error code 80154017 ... unsupported country) ... So I decide to login with my other windows live account that was registered with UK adress (call it what you want, alternate, other, fake). The thing askes me for the serial again. So I put in the serial and get informed that its not possible to use that serial since its already paired with a different windows live account?
So now my game is paired with an Windows live account I cannot use with Games for windows live? How the hell is that even possible. And so the question is: How to fix this?

I got the same problem
It was my first time to use Windows Live, and I choose wrong country (because last month I was working in Eastern Eurpe and my Windows settings were set to that country)
Now I can't play the game which I bought
I was waiting for this game so many time, and now when I buy it - I can't play it
Please tell me how to solve this problem

If they dont want any person from no-supported country to play a game, what to do in my situation
I live in London
But I work in England-Russia company. Offices in both countrys.
When the game appears in Steam - I buy it. It was in Russia.
When I buy it - I immediately launch it, then register accaunt in windows live and it was registered with Russia region (because I was in Russia, and windows was with Russia region settings)
When I was buying the game, there were no warnings, that I can't play a game if my account is from no-supported country. I read about it only on windows live forum, when the problem happened.
Now I register new account with my real United Kingdom region setting - but I can't move the key to it.
Now I can't play a game not from Russia, not from United Kingdom.
So what can I do?

I got this post in windows live support forum
With Dirt 2 the Key is tied to the original Live ID that you first used the game with and you cannot change this. This is the decision of the game Publisher, not GFWL. Go to the game publisher, Codemasters, to see if they can help you with a new key.
What can Codemasters answer on this?
Read the spoiler, these are just some of the worst thing i ever heard about GFWL. DiRT 2 is a SSA game, and if im not wrong, it was the first. There arent any documentations, warnings or text at all, and people got locked out from their game. It's not a game on Steam offer, it's a brand new just released game that people bought at full price.
Bulletstorm is also a SSA game, so be careful when you register for a new account.
http://community.codemasters.com/forum/dir...le-my-game.htmlI do agree that the SSA b****ing has toned down, but there are still no documentations at all.
The region lock issue exist since 2008, and Microsoft havent even fix this. I have 3 GFWL accounts, also because of this problem as the other 2 is region locked.
http://forums.gamesforwindows.com/t/102.aspxhttp://forums.gamesforwindows.com/p/9973/90691.aspxI cant find the thread on that terrifying support calls with GFWL support, though.
Heard 4.0 is coming, i do hope they will do something about that region lock issue.
