Hi there. Did any one experience sudden lag in act 7?
I have just reached act 7 recently and it suddenly starts to lag like hell. Not getting low FPS but the whole screen freezes for several seconds and can continue for a while before it freezes again.
I only encounter this problem in act 7. I manage to play all the previous acts without major lagging issue like those in act 7.
Btw, I'm using original Windows 7 and Bulletstorm. PC specs are Phenom 955BE, 2GB Ram, 512MB 4870. Playing at 1920*1080.
PC gamers will finally be able to purchase the 'Gun Sonata' DLC for Bulletstorm that has been available to console gamers since April. The DLC pack is now available in North America for $9.99, which contains three new maps for the game's Anarchy multiplayer mode, including the Sewers of Stygia, the abandoned Hotel Elysium and the open spaces of Villa.
Gun Sonata Pack also includes two new Echo mode maps, including Crash Site and Guns of Stygia, offering new challenges for those competing to top personal high scores and global leaderboard rankings. In Echo mode, Bulletstorm tracks and compares players' scores through locations typically found in the campaign.
Bulletstorm, Witcher 2 Devs Announce Hard Reset, New Studio
QUOTE
A new development studio comprised of game industry veterans who worked on a number of recent big releases has revealed its first game, a science fiction first-person shooter.
Warsaw, Poland-based Flying Wild Hog is a 35-person team consisting of developers and designers who worked at the likes of People Can Fly, CD Projekt RED and City Interactive.
Past titles that team members have worked on include Bulletstorm, The Witcher 2 and Painkiller.
The studio's first game will be Hard Reset, a dark cyberpunk shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of extinction.
Players take on the role of Major Fletcher, dragged into the conflict between two opposing armies who are looking to remove mankind from the face of the Earth.
The game is due to be released in September 2011 exclusively for PC, and will make use of Flying Wild Hog's own engine called Road Hog, which the studio says will "deliver stunning visuals that bring the game's incredible atmosphere to life."
According to the president of Epic Games, Mike Capps, Bulletstorm didn't make a profit. However, the publisher isn't regretting the project.
The joint project by Epic and People Can Fly "didn't make money for us," said Capps speaking with Kotaku.Instead of mourning the lack of profit, Capps is happy that the company green-lit something different, instead of cashing in on another Gears of War entry.
"The studio has shipped AAA content," he said. "The next thing we do with People Can Fly will be great."
We loved Bulletstorm, and can't wait to see what comes of future collaborations. Hopefully the game will still reward players for groin shots.
