Hi , I applied new line along with the 4mbps package....and paid rm135 upfront for
Stamp Duty rm 10, Deposit RM75, RM50 connection fees
i thought the connection fees waived?
*
You don't pay the upfront.. you only pay,

RM 75 (Deposit) + RM 10 (Stamp Duty) = RM 85, This is for new line only.

I'm very sure you don't have to pay anything else other than the above at the TMPoint counter...

Infact, those that terminate + reapply don't have to pay anything.

*
Unfortunately, I only paid RM 85... and a friend of mine who canceled, and reapply paid nothing becausse he decides to you use back his phone line..

True.

In reality, it depends on port availability as well as technical testing. This is what TM will tell you, and this is the best answer you can get without visiting TM point.

Best to head to TM point and check for availability, and wait for technical testing.
*
I've asked twice, and the first answer they give is, "we can't check for you, only our technicians can".

Anyway, will get my new TM Homeline installation tomorrow, then we will see how things goes. Since there is are Cybercafes about 500M from my house, I don't see why 4Mbps can't be supported.

hmm... i would give u the answer, you won't lose anything subscribing this package. IF after 2 years the price is too high, You can choose to terminate. But according to TM the price will be maintained. Right??? JH... This question is actually not a question. U earn more than the pennies u paid.
*
I'm very sure in another 2 years time, UniFi will be starting to dominate the market..... or some other fast internet option will be available....

Hey guys, are you absolutely positively sure that tmnet will allow creating a new homeline and streamyx account when there already is an existing homeline and streamyx account? Because when I took the form the other day, the guy sounded like I could only get the coolunipack if I cancelled the old account first.
*
You have to cancel your old account first if you plan to use an existing line.

Not sure bout 2 streamyx acc + 1 new home lline.

Time for my log of installation biggrin.gif

13th May 2010
- Waited for an hour from 9:30 A.M for the whole sign up process to take place.
- Requested for a new TM Homeline (RM 75 + 10)
- Requested for Cool Unipack 4Mbps.

14th May 2010
- A call from TM contractor to install new Homeline. Postponed to next monday due to self-installation of internal wires by my dad (He's a pro in living skills @.@)

17th May 2010
- Called up to confirm installation, but TM Contractor said the telephone line was out of stock.
- TM/TMnet called up to confirm things. Told them about it and they said will call me back, but they never did.

18th May 2010
- Called again for confirmation of installation.
- New Homeline installed and paid RM 30 for it.
- New Homeline activated after 2 hours.

19th May 2010
- Went back to TM Point Serdang to request for a confirmation slip. The total wait time was approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for 3-4 customers infront of me. It was ridiculously hectic and long.

21st May 2010
- Got a called from technician at 10:15 A.M
- Installation of Streamyx 4Mbps, done at 11A.M.
- Everything smooth and ready to rock. Time to wait for netbook right now.

To be continued

Hey guys, usually how long before your information gets into the sams and mips? I've been checking for a week and there are no info. No, I did not take the ocnfirmation letter, so I'm still wondering how long it takes... called up 100 and he gives excuses like port might be full and asked me to go back to TMPoint to check... well was thinking of going to TMoint tomorrow to get the confirmation letter altogether..

The thing is, it is not possible to list out every IPTA and IPTS in Malaysia because there are just too many. All you need to do is get the correct documents, and just register. Once you have everything set, they wouldn't even bother whether it's ok or not.

The list is gathered by forum members and those that has successfully applied, so it is not a very complete list. You will still need to try your luck as some TMPoint might not be that kind.

I find their service very very vague =/.

Today itself, I've waited 1 hour 30 Minutes just for 3-4 applicants with 2 counters opened. On average, the application took 30 Minutes per customer.

hi.. wanna ask...
currently I am staying in serdang studying E&E course in UNITEN.. and I rent 1 house in serdang..
the tm line which is under my name... so I plan to apply cool uni pack..
but at the same time,my hometown which is in johor,I also wan to apply for cool uni pack
which is under my father's name...
problem now.. Can I apply for both ? hmm.gif
*
You can only get one Unipack leh.... meaning to say if you want another streamyx account, you need to get another deal.

Also, you need your dad's documents that he has agreed to lease the line for you to use Streamyx. Don't be greedy, give others a chance.

Bottom right.

It seems like the first Question in the FAQ answered it,

QUOTE
Streamyx Cool Uni Pack provides Netbook with FREE streamyx broadband, FREE WiFi, Modem, Netbook delivery, songs downlaod @ Hypptunes and also Streamyx Zone ID with 0 entry cost!
In other words, it simply means you are paying RM 38/mth for the Netbook with FREE Broadband. Anyway, it's just the other way round of writing.
