Yea...I would like ask this too and is there any additional charge for upgrading?
I see...Thanks for clearing my doubt! So, after 2 years, we have to pay Rm50 like the QnA mentioned or Rm38?
Should be Rm38 right? Just wanna double confirm.
*
No one can answer that unfortunately, in 2 years time, things may change. Who knows whether UniFi has become one of the most popular broadband around that time, by then I think more people would start switching over to Fibre Optic rather than sticking with this. But I think the price will most likely be the same because the price of ADSL internet is falling with the rise of UniFi.

I'll post up some sample letters later. Look lah , I told to TM , their staffs are okay. I know they are limited by their lousy system. It takes 24-48 hours for them to update their system. Sometimes its like that , some staffs are good and some are bad ones. Well it all boils down to you , the problem with them is that they dont have a centralised system

You mentioned bout posting the screenie as well smile.gif, been waiting to see some cool pictures. Hopefully you will be able to post it today.

Ok guys,

I need to confirm the final steps.

(i) Applied on 12.05.2010
(ii) Homeline installed on 14.05.2010
(iii) Streamyx installed on 18.05.2010

Should I wait for the email or call from HP or proceed to the following step below ?
(Note : I didn't get confirmation slip when i do my application)

13. How do I check my netbook shipping status , etc...(netbook related) ?
Call 1800-88-6998 and press option 2. * Call via fixed Line avoid Telco Charge.

Thanks in advance.
*
If you read through, you know you should be calling HP and not TM.

Doesn't sound logical... if you've been previously using 4MB (since you've downgraded) that would mean it's supported in your area...

By the way 5th day passed and there's still no update... I think I'm gonna storm TMPoint tomorrow
*
I think you misinterpret what he wrote. He meant that even before the technician arrive at his house, the technician was confident that his are has no 4Mbps connectivity supported.

Passed my application for Collunipack and new Homeline last Tuesday.
Paid for the phone and already take the phone as well.
Been waiting for technician to call but nothing so far.
And i terminated my old streamyx and homeline last Friday at another branch.Took the conformation slip.(Still not terminated, using now)

How long does it typically take to install a new phone line? blush.gif
*
How did you get your phone when the technician never come and pass it to you?

Why RM 60 one? Mine only RM 30. The contractor was a young man smile.gif, really good guy. Mine was available in less than 6 hours.

He did mentioned that I need to wait 24 hours before there is a dial tone. You might want to to do that.

There is nothing wrong with kind , even I was kind. Well sometimes putting these guys in your pocket will be handy. You gotta tackle this way. Most of you guys are young , that explains why you're raging. Think wisely , if you have his number and something goes wrong with your phone line , you know who to call as calling 100 is pointless. Their system takes forever to update and forever to assign a tech.  A lot of people complain , basically if its written RM 30 and you pay RM 40 extra and have his number , ummm he can help you with phone line related problems. Same goes with your streamyx tech guy. Put him in your pocket and if you have issues with your port , just give him a call and get it done

This is how I get my things done , but from time to time I have to go through 100

prasys, I thought that you were one of us as well, young teenagers ranging from 18-24 years old since you got the UniPack.

hmm... i say it's kind because my family is also kind... but everytime only after i did it only i review what i did. lolz... my wiring is actually done, everything done, the technician just plug into the port. Rm30. He says if want new wire, rm50 but my dad say rm20 not money arh? then go for rm30. hahaha
*
New wire RM 50? I don't get you though.

can i evenning ask technician install unipack?

Unfortunately, the contractor that install the wiring are not relatec to the contractor that deals with your Streamyx sad.gif

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ May 20 2010, 11:13 PM)
Means... if they pull a new wiring, charge RM50. But i alrdy got old wiring so RM30.
*
Huh... I did the same, but mine only cost RM 30.

QUOTE(prasys @ May 20 2010, 11:14 PM)
Umm , well I guess I am old then. I am not sure I am just guessing from demographics , some of the folks have just entered Uni. I am guessing its 18. Of course there are old folks like myself , mid 20s , well can't really say mid nor early 20s.
silrave , umm you just gotta wait. After phone line installation , it will take few more days for TM to process

I see smile.gif.

Streamyx technician just called me up biggrin.gif! Now I'm happily waiting and excited to know whether my area is supported with Streamyx 4Mbps... another problem would be getting the cap raised as well as depending on the luck, I would like to see if I could get 218 premium IP.

Sometimes confusion can occur which can cause this problem. You better deal with TMPoint. You should stick to one

Premium IP and capping at 5Mbps ? Well gone with those days hereby it used to be easier to do it. Now days it seems to be pretty hard to do it.
*
Seems like I'm the lucky guy biggrin.gif! I got 218.111.xxx.xxx IP on the activation date, that's today. And yeah, I'm on 4Mbps at the moment!

i lazy go there le xD
hmm try to go complain at tm point
very fast de if u got complain XD
....lc yer i still cant use 4mbps

I'm sorry if I made you jealous sad.gif, I do sincerely apologize, but you know... this is the first time ever I get to use streamyx in 7 years. Since day one, I'm using dial-up and for another 7 years, I was stuck with Jaring wireless BB... can you imagine, 7 years of 30KB/s speed with super high latency? I couldn't even play games properly. It's the frustration, and finally today I'm really excited.

Well, better not count the chickens before the egg hatches since there might be possibility of screw up sooner or later. After all these years, and a stubborn father to convince, it's not easy. My patience did paid off.
