Hi guys.. I want to share some ugly experience with a Bright Silver Forte at USJ awhile ago, approximately 8pm. Me and wifey are having dinner in Simon's Place (USJ Taipan) The restaurant was quite full with customer.. got kids and baby also. This bugger .. went inside his forte and honk so loud!

1. For goodness sake, the owner of the honda city (having his dinner in the restaurant) saw u go inside the car oredi fast fast grab the keys and move  towards his car. Do u have to honk so many times and so loud? Did u notice alot of ppl in the restaurant staring at you and cursing?

2. Dont need to show off, just a Kia Forte, not a Ferrari.. Be consideratelah.. honk once is enough.. Sumore reverse that time keep rev the engine.. Blardy hell.. the number plate is WTM 8**5.

If u r a member of this forum, I hope u dont do this kind of idiotic things la.. ur lucky ppl didnt throw stuff at ur new car. Anyway I'm not trying to create a flame war here, but too let the owner of this particular car to learn his manners.

Hi guys, greetings. My baby has not yet been tinted since 2 weeks ago when i get hold of her. But now i realized is a big big mistake to not put this (tint) as a priority as the temperature inside is really scary. And honestly i think our forte, the air cond is a bit laggy (in terms of cooling) compared to Potong. Have to admit potong really have good air cond.

Anyway, back to the enquiry. Which is the brand that you will recommend for tinting? Actually i asked phelix and he recommend either raytech or Llumar. I think i seldom see bro jimmy hanging around here recently as according to phelix he has a nice bargain for Llumar security tint. Ecotint even giving out free trips (Of course terms and conditions applies...duhz~!). Well i hope to get a tint which is efficient enough to minimize the heat in the car and perhaps with security purpose as well coz our bolehland is really not that safe nowadays. Thanks in advance for all advice given.
*
I'm here, i'm here... I just dont have the time to do posting, reading this thread every single day tongue.gif hahaha if u interested in doing llumar let me know, I can get pretty decent if u're interested biggrin.gif

So far my tint is doing well, didnt have the chance to test out the 6mil film tho blush.gif hahaha *touchwood*

As I deem Forte a 'handsome' car (civic is sleek, mazda3 sexy-smiley, altis .. emmm not sure) ... I will try next week to act 'handsomely' when seen around my forte ... ie petrol station, parking lot, traffic jam .. etc. What more now that I'm working in dugong-land and staying at civic-ville. Eyes will be watching ... so keep the cool and charisma. cool2.gif

I donno the exact answer .. but generally interest rate hiked from 2.7-3.0% before 15 march ... to 3.4 -3.7% after that ... which I think still is today. My SA managed to lock my loan at 2.9% early march despite car only arriving 6th April.

Dunno 'bout days to come ... or of any outlier bank offering 2.7-3.0% again. wink.gif

read from the link u posted:

The advantage as with all stainless steel air filters are:-

1. Long lifespan. Easily last the lifespan of your car.
2. Easy maintenance. Just wash with water, dry and put back.
3. Increase airflow to aid in better fuel combustion thus leading to improved power.
4. Enviromentally friendly and cost economical due to the long lifespan.

There is 1 disadvantage though.

As SS filter has higher airflow rate (from the bigger microns) as compared to stock filter, bigger dirt particles tend to get through.

This, though, does not affect the engine performance that significantly.

Engine oil will get more dirty but most dirt particles will be captured in the oil filter.

our car have air sensor rite after filter? will this particle affect the sensor? what i understand, more power need more airflow but need to reduce filtration. but high filtration will reduce air flow thus reduce power? also i read from here http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/cms/index.ph...id=58&Itemid=66 it say

"There are basically four types of filtration materials currently in use for automobiles: paper or other fiberous (some appear much like fiberglass), foam, cotton gauze and stainless steel mesh. This test has used the first three, but not stainless steel mess. Steel mesh bathed in oil is some of the very first filtration materials ever used in an automotive application. There is a reason they were abandoned for paper in the '60s. I find it surprising that some aftermarket manufacturers are touting them now. In the links at the end, there is an interesting test of a stainless mesh filter. "

how to service this filters?

ss drop-in: wash, let dry, need to re-oil or dry type?

k&n: wash, let dry, re-oil. am i rite?

sigh... dunno which one to choose sad.gif any help?

hi all, in Klang, which SC is good? I'm about to hit my first 1000km.

btw, first tank, complete about 550km. 8.7 L / 100km.
Wow, thats pretty good fc for first tank. Yours is 2.0? Mainly city driving?

My 2.0 is always at 13++ l/100 km for 90% city drives. One full tank will last about 350km only

Mine also last about 400km/full tank. but i always rev the engine (3-4.5k rpm) for engine break in + 85% city driving. Anyway, i will wait until my first service before doing the FC measurement with a normal driving condition. We will see whether the FC will improve or not..

Haha... brows.gif check for Derrick at Myforte club at FB (discussion). My side and rear window tint were just VLT 52%, but it looks very dark from the outside especially during rainy days.
