Am planning to scout around in One Utama later as I'll be having my dinner there. So DeGem is a good place to get an engagement ring? My budget is less than Rm6k. Possible?

went to Daimond Platinum last nite. they got lot of the Diamond rings is below 5k. even below 2k also got. but too bad the Diamond dun have certificate & the cutting is consider a good cut.

need to survey more from the market to compare.

was actually looking for at least .30 Carat Diamond with 3X... but they only have up to .25 Carat

Besides, my place here doesn't have much Jewelry store that sells Diamond rings... No Tomei, Habib, Wah Chan etc at here.... just local Jewelry Stores only....

No way you can find Tiffany & Co for engagement ring below 5K unless you are looking for Sterling Silver... i once went there, diamond solitaire (not very big)... 99K, sista...

haha... I know.... the lady just said she follows Tiffany & Co design to make one by her company, that's all... I would never expect Tiffany & Co ring to be so affordable in the first place... hehe..

oh, by the way, I'm a GUY actually.... I'm just wanna propose to my girlfriend but never ever study this diamond ring before so just wanna ask for your opinion... thanks

Definitely worth it I must say! Only downside is it Clarity. But yours is Platinum Ring some more....
Sucks that there is no Wah Chan at my place....
I just bought mine yesterday at RM 3980 for mere 0.25 Carat + white gold only
So as you can see, yours is definitely worthy!!!
But then, maybe your place has lots more choices... so why dun you take some more time surveying around?

i have survey few shop of their price. as far as i know the clarity will set me back but the Diamond colour make it looks good. tats y we choose 0.41carat. the shop sales man give me big big discount sum more with freegift as well.

now they having promotion ma. will til march 6 i think. very cheap the Diamond there . yesterday saw a 0.6carat with the price tag RM3380 only. but too bad the colour in K.

aiks... man... it's good to live in West Malaysia lo... always get good deal...
unlike us East Malaysian always get ripped off

Anyway, clarity is not so visible with naked eyes so it shouldn't be as issue actually... Just goes for it!!

Tats y i not very concern bout the clarity so we choose for the better colour range instead of the clarity lo.

At the time we choosing, next to us got a couple also choosing Diamond. I asked the sales man there coz their price is bit higher then us is bout RM3200. The sales man told me. The Diamond is H 0.36carat VVS1 3EX. In my heart said, smaller but the clarity not very much different if never use the magnifying glass to look deep in.

guys wanna ask some opinion

buy 2 same normal design couple ring with/without small small biji diamond

or

buy 1 ring got one biji diamond for her, 1 normal ring for me

I'm surveying ring also haha. Went into T&C with some of my mates. nearly vomit blood and die. rm30-rm40k don't even buy you 1carat diamond there.

[edit] after all, T&C jewelery is damn overpriced man. My girl fell in love with one silver bracelet ... SILVER! rm1k for it, walau

@dvinez ... standard is only one diamond ring for engagement purpose, this is the one you gonna propose to your girl with. at this stage where got guy wear ring? only after wedding time then buy 'matching' wedding bands.
