Evening, I'm currently on a plan to gain some extra weight since I'm too skinny now. I just wanna seek some recommendation for a good mass gainer since there's lotsa brand out there. Any recommendation from experienced users are appreciated. Thanks a lot.
P/S: By the way, I heard in these kind of program I need 1-1.5g protein intake per lbs body weight. I'm currently 52kg/114lbs now, does it mean I need to intake around 114g protein daily?

Mass Gainers suck. Whole food > mass gainer. You're better off with pure whey.

Well actually I'm still a student and I don't cook My mom rarely cook as well, that's why I'm having problem getting nutritional whole food. BTW, I saw from the other thread during mass gaining plan, jogging is not encouraged, any clarification please? This post has been edited by Steven7: Apr 4 2010, 02:58 PM

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Now I'm planning to get Horleys Awesome Mass as my supplement but some say I should get whey protein first, so which one first? I am quite small-sized now so I should get mass gainer first right?

Mass gainer only give u extra carbs to spike ur insulin for ur post workout and make u fat if u consume it before bed. Go for whey, and if u need those carbs, go for oat, glucose, brown rice, fruits and etc. (by the way, those mass gainer usually use brown rice powder and they charge u extra coz they claim those as special ingredient) Horley erm... those watson protein i m not sure. Why dun pay ego a visit at the curve?

Hi darklight79, So would this be a bad purchase? http://egonutritions.com/shopping/index.ph...products_id=437I'm also adding 6 eggs a day (2 morning, 2 before work out + banana, 2 before sleep) as well another pre-work out supplement. Goal: Probably between a "Beach Body" and the Governator(Arnold) This post has been edited by zalmerox: Apr 5 2010, 02:37 AM

Well I did eat more but my weight just somehow stuck at 50+ kg for a long time now, I'm exactly the kind of people who just can't gain more weight. That's why I'm turning to mass gaining product.

BUTTTTTTTTT.....the taste is crap. i guess it can be helped since they throw all in one. LOL Chow

If you have that amount of cash to spend, you'd be better off getting a tub of good whey and BCAA's. And 2 eggs aren't enough per session. 1 full egg is around 6 grams of protein, the egg white is 3 grams. You do the math. =)
