Hi jiaren777, welcome to this interesting hobby.
Well, I learned it the hard way.. even after months of setting the tank, my shrimp is still dying.. turns out it is because of my tap water quality..I think KL tap water contains a lot of metal traces or chloramine.. so good anti chlorine will also help you smile.gif

Most of the LFS will take about 2 or 3 days to refill...
East aqua in Midvalley only takes 3 hour to refill..
SLS maybe a week..
NA about 3 days..

What i heard is, it takes time to refill because they have to cool down the tank first so they could fill in more gas in it. lower temp, less gass volume, so we could fill in more gas.

No wonder your ph is very low... maybe you need some water hardener.. can we use crushed coral?

Check the water ... maybe same case with me.. maybe need to user anti chlorine.. and i also add some coral in my tank.. some how.. it helps.. maybe there is not enough calcium in your tank.. thats why the shrimp could not mold properly..

But the fish don't bother them unless they swim out in the open and they always escape...

I do use anti chlorine 'aquadine'... I have cuttlefish bone and I intend to put it in. Where do you put it??? In the tank or in the filter???

for me, better put it inside your tank, so you don't have to mess up with the filter.
The shrimp also could eat it
