Looking to do grills for my condo..How do you find a reputable contractor? IMHO, word of mouth is the best (however, this way also not 100%. It wud have worked for others but not you if unlucky. But still better)

Anyone have used these guys? Like the invisible grille though. As long strong.

Dear all,

Do you hear about invisible grille?
Is it strong enough to withstand burglary? I mean is it easy to be cut?
How much the price range for invisible grille window in KL-Selangor area?
Any recommendation?

Dear Sifus,

May I know what is the current price for grill? Am looking for a reasonable price for grill with powder coating. Roughly how much it cost if my window is 8ft X 5.5ft?

Hi sifus..Im getting my new house grilled.

The contractor offered me rm16/sqf (window grill)
Rm20/sqf (door grill) for powder coated wrought iron

Window grill 540sqf@rm16/sqf = RM 8640
Door grill 43sqf@rm20/sqf = RM 860

Total RM9500

After nego2 get RM9000

Is the price reasonable?

He told me mild steel price is cheaper by only rm1/sqf compared to wrought iron?

Any photo sample hmm.gif
If you want better security, the bars shall be go across each other and not weld on top.
And if you have sliding glass door, suggest to seal it under renovation and the main wooden door modify it such that you can bring in big items(like a king size bed). Sliding door's security are very poor and not easy to maintain.

Not sure about wrought iron but normal steel with powder coated for your measurement should be within 5k range

its all about how much you afford and willing to pay since its ONE time only...

I was recommended, only use thicker on the FRAME not the center vertical and horizontal panel since if the theft wanna korek they will start from the side or the hinges area...overall u r making thing HARDFER for them

its your call...want better stainless steel lor.

thanks for ur advice. for outter frame I'm using 25mm x 50mm x 1.2mm... is it standard? or could be thicker?

by the way, for stainless steel, rm40 per sqft, is the price reasonable? (for small window only)
