u have to DIY , but the proc seems very easy to replace.
Are u sure dell US lets you do that ? Last i heard somebody in the forum , if not wrong monkey, said dell wont do that upgrate for you. But you are free to upgrate any parts urself at ur own risk but wont void the warranty , thats 1 good point on dell laptops.
gonna CF 5870 into my lappy went by frens get back xD wanna see the performance
My understanding from this support page: http://4help.alienware.com/cgi-bin/alienwa...php?p_faqid=623Are u sure dell US lets you do that ? It will be good for people like me who extend warranty to the longest you see so I don't waste it by voiding. But it all depends on the price of the upgrade as well. If this is a wrong representation then do let us know cos its just a lay mans understanding of this. I haven't spoken to the tech support from US regarding this cos the Tech support here didn't know anything when I asked. They only knew Malaysia laws.
You can CF 5870 your lappy? Where to get the GPU Parts? Pricing...? If the M17x can do that and have 2 DDR5 Cards in I wouldn't mind getting a M17x cos the only thing holding me back is the anticipation of something new from NviDia or ATI coming up at the AW Site....
