What about the "walk in" application?
*
Erm I'm not very sure bout what u meant by "walk-in" application. Anyways, I was referring to the old PIDN scheme (not for SPM leavers) for those who are already or who are enrolling for degree programmes in public unis and some specific private unis (MMU,UNITEN,) by using results from matric/STPM/foundation/degree's 1st sem. I almost never heard of "walk-in" application by the way. Only for some rare cases. Maybe someone else could help shed some light on that. smile.gif

I was referring to the JPA scholarship which is kind of secret and they didn't announce it on the internet. That's what I heard from my friend that he applied by going to the JPA building himself for the overseas scholarship for university.

Actually, the term Ivy League is very misleading. If you do care to check, it is actually a closed sports meet where all those top US universities who are also very picky and choosy in admissions and have limited number of places for each intake, are actually participating and competing within their own circle. Just to group them together because they happen to be top universities, they are conveniently called the Ivy League but by no means are they all in the Top 10 of the world.

So the question is, by what terms do you or JPA define "Ivy League"? From what I read in this forum, "Ivy League" universities somehow happen to extend to some UK universities as well. If that is the case, do they also include some top Canadian or other European and Asian universities for that matter? For them to limit the already misleading "Ivy League universities" status to only some select universities for the sake of convenience and public ignorance is very unfair for others.

Just my two cents. biggrin.gif

Yeah but the unis in the Ivy League is quite well ranked. That's why I said "Ivy League Level University". It can also cover the top unis like in QS world rankings in the US which are not Ivy League or Universities like Oxford and Cambridge in the UK and also Unis like ANU,Melbourne Uni and University of Sydney in Aussie.
