QUOTE(celciuz @ Apr 11 2010, 06:02 PM) I would go with the 55-200 VR since you've the 18-55 VR kit lens. That 18-200 is probably soft at the tele end anyways, so stick to the 55-200 VR. thats the lousy thing abt Tamron all-in-1 zoom lenses, only the high end 18-270 has VCPS, does that Tamron has VC? You will appreciate the VR at 200mm. This post has been edited by General_Nic: Apr 11 2010, 06:03 PM |

QUOTE(bad melatonin @ Apr 11 2010, 10:34 PM) so AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED better than AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II ka bro? not say is the better lensif like dat arr, now my judgement is clouded whether getting 18-200 or 55-200... aiseh.... comparing sharpness, 55-200 has the edge over 18-200, 18-200 starts to produce soft pics after 120mm onwards but 18-200 wins in versatility, saves time for not always changing lens, better built, it has metal mount if im not mistaken(for Nikon 18-200 la) depends on u prefer, u dun mind changing lens n prefer sharper pics then go for 55-200 lazy change lens, wan all-in-1 lens, get 18-200 |

QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Apr 12 2010, 12:42 AM) waa sb 900 .and sigma lux . any idea how to take a nice pic with background that is totalll dark ? just now tested with my flashgun , the part other than the subject is dark too. QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Apr 12 2010, 12:54 AM) not really must so gila setup la 1st rule of having subject n background well lighted is use slow shutter speed, most ppl tend to thk with flash means can use high shutter speed, not true all the time try using shutter speed of 1/80, 1/60 or lower n u'll c the difference 2nd rule, use large aperture on large aperture lenses this is where f1.4 n f/2.8 lenses comes handy QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Apr 12 2010, 01:01 AM) Nissin Di622 can be triggered using pop-up flashQUOTE(silver_de_gene @ Apr 12 2010, 01:02 AM) what does it mean by producing soft pics? not sharp? soft pics means not so sharp, yeswhat's the diff between 50mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4 besides of the apperture and built in motor? is their lens quality any difference? difference of f1.4 n f1.8 explained in D90 thread page 52, u can go check This post has been edited by General_Nic: Apr 12 2010, 01:17 AM |

silver_de_gene: if u r happy with 50mm 1.8 n manual focus, then the lens is good enuf for u d, dun nid spend unnecessarily
another difference between 1.4 n 1.8 is the bokeh pattern, 1.8 lens gives u polygonal shape bokeh, 1.4 gives smooth round bokeh wravez: i only tested Nikkor 50 1.4G in shops n Nikon centre, so i cant know how it performs under other conditions but comparing the pics i taken, i'll say the IQ of both lens is very good n similar, maybe got difference if pixel peep, but i dont reviews say sigma is better at vignetting n fringing control cos of the bigger front element, this 1 i cant confirm the reason i got sigma bcos i prefer the built n 2 yrs Sigma warranty edwardgsk:your D90 macam 2nd ver positron cannon for 2 Eva units to fire it btw, your hp take the pic so nice, not like my crappy 1 oh ya, SB900 on D3 only look balance celciuz: u r rite, Canon 50 1.2L 72m filter diameter, the 50 1.0L oso 72mm filter diameter so Sigmalux is still the real dinosaur |
