u can set your pop flash power manually, set it the lowest power, 1/32 i thk
then the light frm pop up flash not so harsh

i thk both r more or less the same in sharpness, after tested both b4
reviews say Nikkor 50 1.4G is sharper by a small margin, only noticeable if pixel peep
but both still loses out to old Nikkor 50 1.2 AiS
but 1 thing i agree with reviews is Sigma has less fringing n CA than Nikkor 50 1.4G
this due to the larger front glass element
*EDIT* oh ya, forgot, Sigmalux has 2 yrs warranty!

quite true, using Sigmalux my pics tends to overexpose

i dun thk they'll charge for firmware upgrade
its like cam bodies even old models have firmware upgrades, but cant expect them still have warranty left

using A, even on Manual the exposure bar shows well exposed but result is over

well, im not sure, maybe due to flash? i thk it only tends to overexpose when using flash
or is my cam lcd n PC lcd too bright?

cos example the eyepiece, got many stock, like got few D90 eyepiece, few D5000 eyepiece
if not for sale wat for they display so many same stuffs?

i've been using usb cable to connect my cam ever since i got tired of crappy read speed by cap ayam card reader
though not faster than branded card readers, but still faster than cap ayam 1 by a lot
wat i like best is when connect thru cam, windows 7 detects wat cam issit connected n gives all info u nid
gives battery level %, provide link to guides n tutorial for D5000, provide link to Nikon products, even link to Nikon Picturetown
kinda sophisticated n cool

actually its jz link to Nikon Digitutor, but still save the hassle to go find it, windows 7 gives u direct link

u forgot top lcd screen n built-in flash commander

wat D5000 is better than D90 is slightly better ISO performance n articulating screen (n some say light weight )

this im not sure too, i c reviews say D5000 is better, slightly
which even if its true it doesnt reli helps or make much difference

but if base on hardware specs, both shud be the same

no, wont regret bought D5000
jz regret y that time dun have more $$$ to purchase D90

anyway, i tot of 1 thg, if i got D90 instead of D5000, i wont getting Sigmalux

different software makes the slight difference if theres any i guess

btw, jz now went Sg Wang, asked Boeing for B+W XS-Pro UV filter, but say must order only they bring in
n they say Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 OS still not officially launched yet, price not yet confirm

can try manual control of the pop up flash power, set lower so not so harsh
n if your schl jz want viewable pics of ppl as main subject, they wouldnt mind the noise actually

IINM, u can trigger flash even if u completely cover the flash, thats wat i heard, so that prove it isnt optical trigger
D90's built-in commander shud be same concept as D3's, as D3 dun have built-in flash

there r many good flash out there, it all depends on your budget
most common r:
Nikon SB600 - rm800
Nikon SB900 - rm1600
Nikon SB800 - rm1100(2nd hand)
Nissin Di622 - rm450
Nissin Di866 - rm900

then Canon all cams dun have built-in commander except the flagship 1D/1Ds n top of the line crop sensor body, 7D

suppose to be IR trigger coz triggered by infra red signal
