i always stingy use max iso800, but then now dare to use iso1600 d
the noise is there, but only noticeable in dark areas of pic, still very nice outcome dun underestimate the noise control of D5000/D90/D300s |

QUOTE(dantwt @ Apr 22 2010, 10:49 AM) Hey guys. its 35mm 1.8G, fixedOwn a D3000. Currently looking for a lens upgrade. Options: 1) AF-S 35mm f1.8 2) Tamron 17-50 f2.8 Which wud be a better option? Intend to get either lens for low light / indoor photography and portraits. Also, use for holiday trip this year. *Note: Current gear = D3000 with kit lens. No Flashgun yet. Battery grip soon. Or is it wiser for me to get a Nissin or SB600 flash gun first? Pls advice ya! *cheers* P/S: looking for an upgrade to D5000 sometime this year too.. D3000 noise level too significant for me.. Worth to upgrade? (wud prefer D5000 instead of D90 for the swivel LCD and movie recording) i'll say go for SB600 1st since u not sure which lens u gonna utilise more get flash 1st is good for long term as it can be used in many situations, n for indoors flash is very crucial QUOTE(noobie1 @ Apr 22 2010, 11:00 AM) 35mm got 1.4?? IINM, D90 n D5000 video quality shud be the samebetter get sb600 i would prefer upgrade to D90 coz of the CMOS sensor and better noise level movie recording wise, y not u record movie using video cam?? and yet D90 also can record movie and far more better than D5k...lolx.. D5000 has its advantage D90 oso, as wat dantwt likes, the swivel lcd |
