I think Aspire's tutorial on front page is missing some package requirements for beginners, not really foolproof for beginners.

So far, I'm testing 750mhz using the simplest method suggested by Titan
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=597569&postcount=1259

Just make sure you have installed the updated kernel in extras-testing repository, version 2.6.28-maemo19 and above, and also make sure you have installed the rootsh package, then follow Titan's commands.

The above is just a temporary testing, which will be reset back to 600mhz following any phone calls or phone reboot, but its good for testing.

With 750mhz, I can only sense an oh-so-tiny speed improvement.

Dunno about Maxis 3G but I tried with Celcom 3G already.Just insert the simcard, type the pin code & you're good to go to surf net.

unless you can find a micro USB to mini USB cable, there's no chance you can plug the actual modem into the N900's microUSB socket

Basically there are 3 different "connection modes" - one where it tries to setup a connection in the background (havoc), one where it forces a disconnect from the current one (rude) and a final setting which tries to connect to the correct IAP only if no other connection is active (polite). Hopefully this will void the need to cache resized images as well

N900 built-in media player is a UPnP/DLNA client. Can stream videos/photos/music/etc from your PC.
