new news of 3DS
ask iwata edition.
regarding battery life
via neogaf, thread of A Black Falcon

http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interview.ht...do-3ds-made/1/0

by Nuclear Muffin of GAF:

we know how power save works now (it's basically the same as dynamic contrast on LCD TVs) and Streetpass isn't constantly communicating. We can roughly guess the battery life.

3D: 3-5 hours (4.2 hours with WiFi on constantly) (Highest Brightness is 4 hours with power save on)

2D: 8 hours (6.5 hours with WiFi on constantly)

there is a power save mode?!

I mean the power saving mode and the 8 hours battery without 3d as well as NGP that the battery might not last as long as that...

Owh... Well, frankly, at present NGP is just on prelim basis. You can't really say that the 3 -5 hours is final.

The DS gaths are gonna get shorter and shorter now. huhu.

Lah jangan takut.
for me 3ds already alot improvement from last handheld. see the lineup thats a strong lineup also got variety game for audience. also in our country most people never see 3d on handheld and that already got attraction. i buy 3ds cause i grow up with all nintendo game and nintendo have strongest first party game that still alive until now. u also can see most 3rd party studios already support 3ds and remember they target core gamers now and most of Shovelware game gone. nintendo the only company have shigeru miyamoto how awesome is that. that my idol there. and development for 3ds sure will not costly like other device have killer cost to make a game. trust nintendo its worthy, nintendo the only company not care much about other company . they do what they do.

Good point there Finned. I grew up with Nintendo's gaming handheld since the GameBoy era until the current DS lineup. Nintendo is a gaming giant while Sony is multi-device corporation so Nintendo will lose in term of profit if combine altogether.

By the way, Nintendo is always the first who started the next-gen handheld gaming war.
