Do u hear the buzzing from ur seating position? IF u move 2 feet to the right and left do u hear the buzzing?

Is the buzzing louder when u watch bright white scenes? Are u wall mounted?

That's what I said. With RM5700,

1. Buy a 50X now for RM3000
2. 2 years later, get another one 50V for RM2700 (because prices drop so fast)

So ended up with 2 TVs. One for the sitting room. One for the bedroom.

then of course can wait another 2 years maaa..
already wait 2 years for that something more canggih to come up, then of course can wait another year or two for that something more canggih price to come down.

you have to know that there's no perfect display. well maybe the kuro is, but the pricing ain't perfect either.

rather than asking a whole lot of question and wait for people to reply one by one, you SHOULD do some of the work yourself. like taking a trip to the showroom and viewing the models that you shortlisted side by side. like bringing a test BD with you and bugging the salesman to set it all up for comparison. like having a shi*load of cash lots of cash in your pocket and flashing them to the salesman to get proper attention (to set it all up).
and like reading the thread from the start. or maybe from the last half if 100+ page is too much.

and as for the question, i viewed them side by side while playing coraline bd. with bright showroom light behind. the V is less reflective than U. tho both have reflection, V anti-reflection coating are supposed to distort the reflection so that it won't hit you directly in the face.
worth the premium? i'll let you decide. that is if you could pull yourself out of the chair and drive to nearest showroom.

Bought Pana Plasma 42' about 6 month ago and it is a "V" series.
It was OK all this while and when we just came back from holidays (5 days) this is what appearing in my TV.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

It got nothing to do with HDMI cable or even speakers beside the TV but the A board kong already.

The Pana guys came and changed the board.
Noticed that the screen was manufactured in Japan, the unit was assembled in Singapore and the A board came from Vietnam.
Probably I could be the unlucky one to get the defect batch of A board.
According to the service guy I'm not the first one but in fact others had the same issue too. So Plasma owners be .............heheheee

so i take it's not glare that i'm seeing right now with the sun shining through the sliding door? it's more of a distraction?

so yeah the anti reflection coating reduces the glare distraction from the bright light sun shining through the sliding door behing my couch causing reflection    glare    distraction on the tv screen. but it's still a distraction nonetheless. if i don't want any distraction from the glare reflection i would've gone with a matte LCD screen.

IMO, there is no point upgrading from 29" CRT to 42" widescreen panel TV because the picture size not much different. If want to get, must get 50" panel. If out of budget now, wait for price to go down.

I think your calculation are wrong, based on tvcalculator dot com. if you are using 42" 16:9, for SD channel 4:3 = 34.2" and for 46 16.:9 = 37.5" 4:3

I did not do calculation. I took a tape measure and decided I am not going to look at 42" widescreen. 50" the minimum.
