may i noe what is the differents performances for Sony Vaio EA36, i5 560M + ATi HD5650@RM3499 and Toshiba Satellite M645-1002X, i5 450M + Nvidia GT330M@RM3999
since gt330 is same grade as ati 5650

Because laptops shouldn't be compared solely based on CPU and GPU? hehe
There's some special features on the M645 which makes it more costly... and Toshiba units are usually more expensive to start with

Even within brands they have different categories i.e. budget lines, premium lines etc. where each category offers different features, built etc.

Some features include ambient light sensor, backlit keyboard, sleep and charge USB ports, harman/kardon speakers etc. But still, these are additional features, if you don't need them (most people don't haha), its better to go for the Sony since it has better specs and Sony's qualities are well known

Nope. GT330 is as good as Radeon 5650.
Radeon 5650 has an edge over GT330 in some games, and vice versa.
