Update on Battlestar Galactica Attraction

Universal Studios Singapore is in the process of a complete ride inspection and review. An investigative team from the coaster's design, engineering and manufacturing company and some expert independent assessors are looking into the ride.The vehicle has been dismantled and its components have been sent for analysis, including an x-ray of its parts.

The whole process may take some time and we will provide an update as soon as the results are out. Meanwhile, the Battlestar Galactica attraction will remain closed. We understand some guests (and definitely fans) may be disappointed. However, we need to ensure all inspections, repairs and testing are complete before the ride resumes operations. The safety of our guests and employees remain our top priority. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

There are still plenty of other attractions in Universal Studios that will keep your day in the park fully occupied.

Haihz..I guess when I go there by May the ride will not be repaired in time >_< since now only they complete the 1st part of the whole process. . .
Anyway..is the Mummy Ride open again?

The following hotels are available in RWS:

Each of them have their own specialities & theme. Room per night cost SGD300 (plus minus).

Assuming I am planning a 3D2N trip to Singapore, main intention is to have fun @ RWS, should I :-

A) Look out for hotels in the city / elsewhere, then hire a taxi to RWS, or
B) Just check-in to one of the fabulous hotels in RWS itself

Which one would be more cost effective?

full fun factor - check in RWS hotels
cost effective - hotel elsewhere

[BATTLESTAR GALACTICA UPDATE - APRIL 27, 2010]
Universal Studios Singapore will be running a series of test cycles on the Battlestar Galactica attraction (BSG) starting tonight. The cycles, which will be run during the evenings when the park is closed, are part of the investigations that we are conducting on BSG to de...termine the cause and solution to the technical problem on one of the ride vehicles. There will be no passengers on the roller coaster during the test cycles. The safety of our guests and employees is our top priority and we will provide further updates when available. At this time, we cannot speculate as to when BSG will reopen.

guys, any ticket agent for universal studio in johor bharu??

i read that madagascar ride is being rushed for completion to replace the BSG ride in the meantime..

Will be going on the 28th this month... think is a good idea or should i delay the plan?

I'm not into those rides...just would like to take pics in USS.
Are there any specific non-photography area in USS?

Mostly is in the ride where you can't take photograph...but as usual...ppl will still take photograph...but other than that...i think all other place u can have photographs

1) probably will be at USS on 6th June. Will i still be entitled to both the meal (SG10) & merchandise (SG5) vouchers?
2) do i need to queue to take photos of Hollywood star characters? Do they have a certain time slot appearances? and if i missed that opportunity, then have to return the next day.

not sure wor...coz im not really into those character thingy..coz i oso havent finish my ride..so kinda rush...coz my 1st ride there was tat mummy ride...then i go jp rapid adventure...tat one b4 i reach the elevator tat lift my boat up for final splash...it stucked...wasteed around 30 minutes there for them to take us out....in return they juz give one express pass for one ride to each of us....but tat auntie in front dam noisy...keep say "im seriously dissapointed...u shud bla bla bla bla bla" lol....then my gang juz walkaway and she still talking and complainning to them...lol
