For PS3 gaming precisely. Around RM400 difference anyway.

Added on May 25, 2010, 9:35 amWas wondering is it important to get a FULL HD and sacrifice the screen size. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

27" is way too small to see any significant video/picture quality of FullHD.. actually, for me.. even the 32" is kinda small to see the difference... for FullHD, I still feel that 40" above is ideal.
Hence, it's not important to get FullHD and sacrifice the screen size... at 7ft away, 27" is kinda small.. 32" at 7ft away is just nice smile.gif I have a 32" in my room and at 8-10 ft away, sometimes.. it feels small..

Got a 32" Sony BX300 HD Ready instead. Enjoy the cash back and going to purchase another same 22" one half price.

Why X-540? That wouldn't give you true surround sound

Get cheap cheap speakers first, save money to get better speakers later, or just get cheap home theater with optical input for true surround nod.gif

Yes. Just use the AV composite cables. You might need a connector for. Set you aback for RM3 for the connector. I'm not sure if it's called a connector thou. Maybe it has another name for it.

Check your setting with your PS3 system. Tick every box from the lowest till 1080p. You might have overlooked this.

But if the source is from PS3 HDMI, is it possible to output the sound?
Means,
PS3 > HDMI > LCD TV
LCD TV Audio Out > RCA(Phono)> External PC Speaker.
I tested, it doesn't. wink.gif

Wookie...We'll leave the HDMI out because it's for your graphical department which is not a problem. Let's get a move on with the audio department, shall we?

We can have an AV composite from the external speakers itself and another one comes out from the PS3 system. These two sets of AV composite can be connected with a connector. Voila! There you have it.

That way will works because the audio signal is output from the PS3 itself, not from the LCD TV.
But for your audio department dear, it will give you 2 channel signal stereo only.
By the way, the "connector" should be the RCA Coupler smile.gif

What TV you using?

Most TVs I've seen have 3.5mm output jacks, so you can connect the PS3 to the TV via HDMI and plug the speakers into the TV via the 3.5mm cable.

You could also use a Y-splitter and the PS3's RCA cables, but the first method allows anything connected to the TV to use the speakers and not just your PS3.
