It is showing the buffer. If you change to shoot RAW, or JPEG Medium. You'll see changes in the number. Even the noise reduction also will be a factor.

True, no point using M. M means more JPEG compression which means you lose more details. Better use L or RAW to gain the best out of your camera.

guys im currently using sb-28 as my speedlight and now thinking to get another speedlight so im thinking about to get nissin Di622 or sb600 so any advise on which one shud i get or is there something else shud i look into 1st before buying? ( oh yeah my price range is under 1k so that shud rule out sb900
