Is the NOKIA MAPS as good as the garminxt ?
*
OVI Maps data are quite outdated. Garmin is using maps that are a lot more updated. smile.gif

QUOTE(Yan @ Nov 18 2010, 02:57 PM)
thanks bro for the garminxt.. but i'm still facing the issue of starting garmin first page then it'll exit .. i've tried master reset and even do the hard format and start from scratch. I've googled and found that a few other ppl on the n97/mini also facing this prob..  any comments ?

my s/w version v12.0.110

has that something to do with the s/w version ? wat's the latest ?
*
hmph. I have no issue on my X6 and I think this is the one installed on N97 as well but I'm not sure if I'm on the latest FW. Sifu Aspire, any idea why this is happening. Anyway, please try downloading the Garmin Mobile XT from here : GARMIN DOWNLOAD
Then install and use my data later on. OMG. Now I remember I forgot to remove my data doh.gif

if u press wrong it will exit why? because when u send the entire folder u didnt delete the content so your key file its detected as error because every phone have unique key. Clean installation do not have key file so u can select
*
you should delete the sw.unl file. Then PM me your code ID then I give you the sw.unl for your device smile.gif
I tried on my X6 already.
People who wants. Please PM me. smile.gif

meaning i can just use my current sw.unl and just copy paste it right ?

You need to reinstall it with the newer version. The .sis file from your friend.
You don't have to copy his Garmin folder. Refer to sifu Aspire's post smile.gif

Add photos to contacts using OVI Suite then Sync with phone. Even without the photo in your gallery, the contact image will still be clear smile.gif

If you charge and use, it will heat up a lot. This is not advisable cause it'll spoil the battery smile.gif

Touch screen problem. Bring it back to NCC if still under warranty but I think you're the most unlucky person coz this only happened to my friend's super duper old touch-screen phone. But N97 is only less than 2 years. smile.gif
Bring back to NCC smile.gif

not LCD... Is the touchscreen sensor. But I think you will need to replace at the same time  whistling.gif
*
nope, you don't have to replace both. Resistive technology is most of the time having 2 seperate component hence allowing you to change only 1 component if spoiled smile.gif
I think he needs to change the sensor only. Even if warranty is over, the price isn't that killing. smile.gif
But remember please send back to NCC to do the repair. Keep this phrase in mind : Penny wise pound foolish. smile.gif

btw, do let me know how many apps do you have installed in your phone? smile.gif

I think he wants to sync from phone to OVI server.
I think can but on N97 don't have the settings by default. Unlike X6, have it.

Last resort is give you the settings of Sync server and you set smile.gif
