@httan

Did you try with other mkv files? The one you tried has 8 reframes and realtek 1073 may have a problem handling it. If cannot handle file properly, sometimes the audio is also garbled.

Really thanks a lot to PoorMan & Yangxi's help.

Anyway I followed Yangxi's advise & revert to OEMJune version seem ok ( on & off main switch), this morning I on it again looked like problem solved, but not try other files yet. rclxms.gif

By the way I have reverted back to June version before( 20100617 non oem version ) but appear the same problem, look like only OEM version can work! ( WHY ?????????)

Bro Yangxi, is there any OEM Jan 2011 version ?? hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Glad that you sorted out your problem. No thanks needed as I learned from your problem as well.

Our batch is the 1073DD and not the 1073DD+ chipset. Unfortunately, the newer firmwares (for the newer chipset) may present some problem especially for the TrueHD/DTS-MA encoded mkvs.

I am using the Nov2010 version firmware and it seems stable enough.

Thanks a lot anyway.

I actually seek for Yangxi's help through phone many months ago & got it sent back to factory & replaced a new board & updated by factory to Sep or Nov version with problem remained, & later Yangxi advised to revert back to June version, never aware that June OEM & NON-OEM version is different ( in fact not clearly identified during the conversation ), good that problem solved.

I just a bit regret i shouldn't buy the unit too early so that I can enjoy more advance function.

Just wonder is there any OEM latest version available ??? hmm.gif

don't have any latest oem version.

June onwards version only update for 1073DD+ chipset. older chipset might unstable.

Note:
June oem2 firmware got update new bootcode , so that older batch can enjoy latest firmware.

Here I back again.........
After that day updated to June OEM2 version, it appeared no problem to play all (almost > 95%) files, I tried off the main switch & on it back the same day with no problem & on it on the second morning with no problem also.

But during the second day (night time when I back at home), the problem come back again, I need to update everytime to ensure no problem playing all file & realised that all HDMA sound totally cannot play unless restore, normal AC3 5.1 channel no problem, therefore >90% of my 6TB movie can not play.........

I don't know why it can last only over night, ONCE a WHILE only !

This is very funny unstable problem, now it make no different to restore it to OEM or non OEM version since I has to restore it every time and it would be better go for latest version say Jan 2011.

Anyway, when it is no sound, I try switching from HDMI/SPDIF to dual channle, multi channel or raw, all got no sound.
But remember when you let me a temporary set (blue angel ??) during my set claim for repair, the blue angel work very fine with all files.

Here is another file with same problem:

Ok, I've just joined the club and bought a HDPro+ and Wifi dongle from Yangxi.

Hope to receive it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, and the Wifi dongle by this Friday.

I've got 1 question, while connected to home network, we can browse files on the PC connected to the network, but is the other way round true? Means can we browse the files on HDPro+ connected to the network from the PC?

Reason why I ask is I'm thinking of copying files straight to HDPro+ through network.

Again? BTW, what is HDMA sound? Do you mean TrueHD and DTS-MA? By right, our chipset is only able to downmix to LPCM2 channel, right?

Can your AVR support LPCM through HDMI?

Hi all,

I'm having sound problem on HDPRO Mini+ to AVR connection. Not sure if any of sifu here can give me some advices....

My connection are:
HDPRO -> HDMI -> TV
HDPRO -> Optical -> AVR

I'd also configure the Audio Output SPDIF to RAW.

Realised that some of the movies has no sound at all on AVR, but still got sound on TV, especially those rmvb files. Is that due to certain sound format can't send to AVR in RAW format?

I'd also tried to connect HDPRO to AVR directly using HDMI, then from AVR to TV using HDMI as well, everything seemed fine. But I don't like this kind of connection as I have to switch on the AVR everytime using HDPRO. Some times just want to watch those series in HDPRO, by using TV sound output good enough for me.

Any comments/suggestions?

are you using spdif raw digital audio out? if yes, there might be no sound for AAC or MP3 audio unless change to analog audio.
else, re-encode your movies with 5.1 AAC audio to 5.1 Dolby Digital.

licend issue , only HDMI can passthru this.

It worked, I can access my HDPro+ from my PC as a network drive. Just need to turn on Samba (even though I still have no idea what Samba is tongue.gif ). That way I can manage files on my HDPro+ with my PC via network.

Just got my HDPro+ yesterday, fast delivery, great product, a very satisfied customer here.

But, I got a few issues here, not a deal breaker, but it could be better.

1. I'm using my HDPro+ with my LG 42" Full HD LCD TV, and it don't seems to work with my HDPro+'s 1080p TV system, both 50Hz and 60Hz. The highest it can work with is 1080i. Am I missing anything here? Also annoying that after turning off HDPRo+ for some time, turning on again sometimes do not show anything on the TV. I had to press the TV system on the remote to get the signal through. And pressing the TV system is a guessing game.

2. I'm not using any amplifier, just using the TV's speakers, so the audio is from the HDMI cable. The audio volume from HDPro+ is very low. I had to turn up my TV volume to 75% to get a decent volume. I usually get a decent volume from my TV at 30%. And so far its the same with all movie files I tried. Is there anything wrong here?

Any solution for the above would be great.

Oh, and I can't wait for the wifi dongle I ordered to arrive.

I am using LG50" plasma but HD ready TV only, no problem can work until the highest 1080P.

There is volume button on HD pro remove, normally I press till 25 so that U don't need to press your TV volume to so high level.

Yes back again, even change different HDMI cable, so far when it is TrueHD & DTS-MA, it couldn't be downmixed also.
There is no problem on video playing, all are audio problem.
I am using coaxial cable connecting HD pro to my AVR

Maybe is the hdmi cable problem? Try to unplug the cable on TV and HDPRO, then plug in again firmly. And also try to use another hdmi cable if you have extra one, see if you can get the thing works.

I having this strange expenrience also, but I connect hdpro to avr then from avr to tv. 1st time connection testing, realised the hdpro only can support up to 1080i (the 1080p option is gray-out). The next day I tested it again using the same cable, but this time it gave me up to 1080p... biggrin.gif Funny also... maybe due to cheap cable problem...
