Hi Yangxi
Remember me ? I am the guy who bought another 2 docks + hdpros from you.
My set's version is March. I followed your advise to update to May version, the menu screen became Chinese version, is that correct?
Then I restore to default setting & instal the June version last night, so far only one movie ( Blue Plannet no sound, showing 0 kph), i am not sure this is movie or player's problem as my friend's may version can play it fine.
Other movies seem ok.
Besides that, just after installed may version when the player restart itself, the was message "bad disk eject" pop up, is that something wrong with the player? 1st time encountered !( by that time I didn't unplug the usb drive) Please clarify!

My conlcusion, who are using version earlier than may, please update, the picture really improve very significantly.
details , colours, shapeness etc appear so much difference, why I know? Because I compare with my friend's same movie.

Anyway, do you still need the spoiled dock ( i found leakage inside ) return to you?

My set's version is March too. is it compulsory to update to May version?
*
If you are happy with the performance right now then it should be fine to keep it on march version.

I personally feel that update should do, as my friend also having march version, he also realised that his friend's june version's performance in term of video quality really different !

I have updated the FW version to the latest one.
No more problem.
However some time hang due to excessive fast forward.

So httan , is recommended to upgrade?
*
In term of video quality improvement, I personally suggest to update.

However, I also encounter hang problem, not very sure is hard disk heat or fw problem.

I update mine from march to may & then to jun, I wonder whether i should downdate it to may version ? Still observing................

Hi everybody encounter this before ?
I bough a HD proS march~Apr version, everytime when i watch those TrueHD movie or certain 5.1 movie, the always appear "Audio data too slow" & come out no sound, for TrueHD type 100% no sound, 5.1 normally 15% no sound.
I got this claimed by Yangxi to has the board change & back to same still.......

Evertime if I want to ensure no problem on playing these file, I has to update 2011 Jan version, then everything will be fine BUT

If i turn off the power ( wall main switch ) the problem come back again

So if i need to watch these film I has to do update evertime & last until I switch off the main power nighttime, day after day practice.........

Everyone got similar experience ? & which part went wrong????

I rather expect it spoil quickly so i can change a new set but it just don't die 100% vmad.gif

1073DD old batch chipset does not support TrueHD.  Although new firmware can compatible upgrade , might unstable.

other DTS , DTSMA , AC3 happen this problem?
u connect coaxial/optical to your AVR?

other DTS , DTSMA , AC3 happen this problem?
Yes also, even files < 3gb
Seem like not "Unstable problem" just wonder why can not updated "permanently" to the player ( of course i checked software version shown "updated version" already )

u connect coaxial/optical to your AVR?
Coaxial to AVR
HDMI to TV

Are you playing files from HDD or USB or Network? Could be problem from the single source (either hardware in HDPro or the connection or the source itself). How about you try from other sources?

Another thing to try is change the coaxial cable to your AVR. Doesn't sound like it but no harm trying. Can use those cheap audio cables with red/white/yellow RCA heads.

Edit: How about playing the sound directly from your TV through the HDMI connection. Do you encounter same problem?
*
Yes , i tried yesterday, here are the sequence:

1. copy the file having problem in USB pendrive ( previously in hard disk) & play, no sound, use TV sound also no sound
2. use AVR (coaxial in) also no sound
3. use AVR TV mode also no sound

then

I update the firmware version "again", at first still no sound
It has to update "twice" ( recently ) then only no problem

After updating, either playing through hard disk or pendrive, everything ok, even those ts files with trudehd sound.

here is the file playing no sound

Really thanks a lot to PoorMan & Yangxi's help.

Anyway I followed Yangxi's advise & revert to OEMJune version seem ok ( on & off main switch), this morning I on it again looked like problem solved, but not try other files yet. rclxms.gif

By the way I have reverted back to June version before( 20100617 non oem version ) but appear the same problem, look like only OEM version can work! ( WHY ?????????)

Bro Yangxi, is there any OEM Jan 2011 version ?? hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Glad that you sorted out your problem. No thanks needed as I learned from your problem as well.

Our batch is the 1073DD and not the 1073DD+ chipset. Unfortunately, the newer firmwares (for the newer chipset) may present some problem especially for the TrueHD/DTS-MA encoded mkvs.

I am using the Nov2010 version firmware and it seems stable enough.
*
Thanks a lot anyway.

I actually seek for Yangxi's help through phone many months ago & got it sent back to factory & replaced a new board & updated by factory to Sep or Nov version with problem remained, & later Yangxi advised to revert back to June version, never aware that June OEM & NON-OEM version is different ( in fact not clearly identified during the conversation ), good that problem solved.

I just a bit regret i shouldn't buy the unit too early so that I can enjoy more advance function.

Just wonder is there any OEM latest version available ??? hmm.gif

Here I back again.........
After that day updated to June OEM2 version, it appeared no problem to play all (almost > 95%) files, I tried off the main switch & on it back the same day with no problem & on it on the second morning with no problem also.

But during the second day (night time when I back at home), the problem come back again, I need to update everytime to ensure no problem playing all file & realised that all HDMA sound totally cannot play unless restore, normal AC3 5.1 channel no problem, therefore >90% of my 6TB movie can not play.........

I don't know why it can last only over night, ONCE a WHILE only !

This is very funny unstable problem, now it make no different to restore it to OEM or non OEM version since I has to restore it every time and it would be better go for latest version say Jan 2011.

I prepare 1 more set for u test.  (1st batch ).

if still problem, suspect your avr got compatible problem.  try HDMI or Spdif test~
Anyway, when it is no sound, I try switching from HDMI/SPDIF to dual channle, multi channel or raw, all got no sound.
But remember when you let me a temporary set (blue angel ??) during my set claim for repair, the blue angel work very fine with all files.

Here is another file with same problem:

It worked, I can access my HDPro+ from my PC as a network drive. Just need to turn on Samba (even though I still have no idea what Samba is  tongue.gif ). That way I can manage files on my HDPro+ with my PC via network.

Just got my HDPro+ yesterday, fast delivery, great product, a very satisfied customer here.

But, I got a few issues here, not a deal breaker, but it could be better.

1. I'm using my HDPro+ with my LG 42" Full HD LCD TV, and it don't seems to work with my HDPro+'s 1080p TV system, both 50Hz and 60Hz. The highest it can work with is 1080i. Am I missing anything here? Also annoying that after turning off HDPRo+ for some time, turning on again sometimes do not show anything on the TV. I had to press the TV system on the remote to get the signal through. And pressing the TV system is a guessing game.

2. I'm not using any amplifier, just using the TV's speakers, so the audio is from the HDMI cable. The audio volume from HDPro+ is very low. I had to turn up my TV volume to 75% to get a decent volume. I usually get a decent volume from my TV at 30%. And so far its the same with all movie files I tried. Is there anything wrong here?

Any solution for the above would be great.

Oh, and I can't wait for the wifi dongle I ordered to arrive.
*
I am using LG50" plasma but HD ready TV only, no problem can work until the highest 1080P.

There is volume button on HD pro remove, normally I press till 25 so that U don't need to press your TV volume to so high level.

Again? BTW, what is HDMA sound? Do you mean TrueHD and DTS-MA? By right, our chipset is only able to downmix to LPCM2 channel, right?

Can your AVR support LPCM through HDMI?
*
Yes back again, even change different HDMI cable, so far when it is TrueHD & DTS-MA, it couldn't be downmixed also.
There is no problem on video playing, all are audio problem.
I am using coaxial cable connecting HD pro to my AVR
