I just tried using external Hdd to HDpro+ using usb wire (big head to external hdd and small head to Hdpro+). Hdpro+ message...."USB plug-in event detected and asked whether to connect using PC Connection". I confirmed then HDpro+ rebooted but will hang at blue-screen with HDD Player wordings. Firmware version updated 29dec2010. But tried with both Hdpro+, also same results. Any suggestions?

the mini usb port is connect to PC. not to external hdd.
only use normal usb port (2x).

Realtek 1073 chipset can support almost codec.

WMV only support WMV9 (lower version cannot , windows not opensource yet).

What is the purpose of the mini usb port ? Does it make the media player behave like a docking station, ie after connecting the mini usb to the PC, the PC will be able to browse the HDD like browsing a usb HDD ?

Example of a media player which works also as a docking station :-

Physical appearance is one thing, the main point is that when connecting to a host PC, the host PC will browse the HDD like a USB-connected HDD. There is no need to disconnect or pull out the HDD and put it into a different enclosure !

why does, my hdpro player,not detecting certain subtitle files.eventhough it is .srt format.
but when i play the file on my computer,it will detect it..

only certain .srt files.. not all..

If it is cheap enough, why not ?

problem solved...the white usb wifi dongle is much more better compared to the old black one..
no lag, or speed drop when streaming video from the network.eventhough the security/wifi configuration were set at the same setting.

I too xperince the same problem with black dongle, can I have a white one replacement?

If I connect directly the HDPro+ to my laptop for file transfer or edit, I always kena static shock (Either the HDPro+ casing and also laptop AFTER connect thru USB cable also). What really happened? Is HDPro+ got problem? Hand feel quite painful when shock.... Is it faulty? Can I claim the new set if this is problem since I bought it in Dec 2010 only? Thanks.
